I agree with what you are saying but dsp never gets any new fans. He only holds onto what he has had for awhile and every few months he loses some of his bigger supporters.
Nobody new going because 1. if they stumble on his channel they see a 80 min pre stream (the longest out of anyone on twitch)
2. He will only respond if you send him $. He is a moron for this. If he wasnt such a greedy dick and interacted with people more then maybe he would end up getting cheers from said people. Tons of people join a new streamer and they actually interact with them and end up getting a new fan. Good amount of people on twitch love it when a streamer responds especially cause of all the popular ones like Nina etc where you send a message and its like pissing into an ocean nobody will read it
3. His game play and personality is boring a.f
He will never stumble on a good bunch of new fans who will support him. He will only hold onto what he has and they will detract eventually like all the others

It astonishes me that he complains about this. It proves he's a complete liar about his financial situation by the way. If he's getting ballpark a dollar for every thousand views he could be making $500 a week in advance revenue. If he spends half a day for two weeks playing each game that's $500 a playthrough. If he can sacrifice that because he got a $60 game for free he's completely lying about his financial situation being remotely tight.

This happened as early as yesterday:
Not to say he hasn't lost a lot of his walking-wallets, or that new ones could financially cover them enough.
Still, despite Phil not correcting the behaviour behind those loses, others continue to show up.

He was playing a game he got for free on a console he (allegedly) also was given for free. If there was ever a game to shut the fuck up and take the hit on Youtube for it is this one. Since this is only one line I don't know for sure but I doubt a thank you for all the Twitch money, which under the previous conditions are 100% profit, came before or after this self fellatio.

It's even more retarded because he's too angry that Nintendo wants a cut of profits; he has to make desperate excuses to his pigcult as to why he can't bother to ad revenue his Nintendo vids by joining the program. He's completely ignoring pennies that he could get because he wants all of them... despite the fact that it just mean that the corporation gets all the pennies, rather than 40% of them.
This is ignoring how he keeps saying his YT doesn't fucking matter while sperging and bleating about his YT.

Someone with a stronger grasp of Game Theory could flesh out this explanation:
Basically, A and B people are offered X amount of money. A is given, say, %40 less than B. A feels hurt by this affront, and to take revenge for this offer of a lesser portion, chooses to take none of the money rather than some of the money.
I think this is the situation Phil believes, incorrectly, he is in with Nintendo.
In reality, Nintendo and Phil aren't standing on equal terms here, with money to be distributed between them. Any money up for grabs is Nintendo's. They own their intellectual property, and the law allows them to enforce their claim, keeping out third-party opportunists like Phil.
An unrelated aside: I was watching this, https://youtu.be/2Ug0UILDfq8?t=2m24s and just heard Phil make this beautiful claim to deductive reasoning:
"Someone actually had a name in stream chat, 'PhilIsNotItalian'. Ok, yeah. Making fun of my heritage. I'm not Italian? No, I'm not? Even though I'm at least, at least, 25% Italian, cuz my mom is literally half-Polish/half-Italian. So apparently I'm not Italian!"

Yolo has been commenting on this for about 10 minutes and Phil is flat out ignoring him. Unusual as he usually gobbles up Yolo's bait.
Phil also complained about the damage a guy did to him in H1Z1 saying it was unfair. Someone said the gun did more damage than Phil's and Phil went on a rant about how people look up this information before they play, because (sarcastically) 'games are obviously supposed to be work' that require research. When someone pointed out that he must have studied to be a 4th Place Evo Contender, Phil says he did, but he learned by playing the game and that information is now too readily available for people to look up.
Several people in chat have pointed out that Phil can't complain that stuff is unfair if he wants to 'learn' this way. My main beef is that this argument is an ouroboros of stupidity to justify Phil's laziness and whining.
Finally, he mentioned in prestream that this new overlay doesn't have enough room for there to be a tie on the leaderboard. Which sounds like a flaw that would make the overlay less useful. But not when you can use it as a tool to bait a big ol'paypiggy into the solo top spot...

Yikes. Phil commented on unboxing videos and said that, many times, the unboxing video alone used to pay for the cost of the game. He then went on to say that he then made "Hundreds of thousands of dollars on the fucking playthrough of the game."
This is likely hyperbole, but very, very unwise hyperbole when you're stressing that you can't pay your taxes. It really sounds like you just can't manage your money. Come on Dave.
It's also possible that he said "hundreds or thousands" but his big walrus tongue did it's usual thing and slurred his words.
It was possibly an intentional double-negative, because this is precisely the way people predicted Phil found her - by scouring his twitter fans, making it the 'least unexpected' way he could have met her.

"I can afford to go out with my girl once a week, but I'm still behind on my taxes."
So he is either:
a) really bad at decision making and is actually behind on his taxes
b) lying

It's been said countless times already, but for fuck's sakes, these people need to find another hobby besides trying to bait Phil with quarters.
It's fucking hilarious how more and more he becomes everything he hates about Twitch streamers. I'm sure by next year we'll see those stupid emote explosions that the obnoxious streamers use.

Yeah, he doesn't actually have opinions on anything, just a biological mandate to feel slighted by all things at all times, & to then go on blind word salad rampages about whatever thing, then selective amnesia kicks in once he thinks said thing now serves a purpose. Then it's time for blowjobbing it & raging at anyone who points out that all the holes in his authority canoe are causing it to list.
Sometimes it even happens within the same paragraph. It's actually the only amazing quality he has..

His phrasing is right but is also really odd. "At least" 25%? He doesn't know for sure? He never mentions his father in this talk about his genetic origin so I would guess he is straight American where he got his last name "Burnell" from?
No wait, Phil is right. If he is half dad (autocorrect: half sad) and half mum, the Italian percentage rests at 25%, if his mum's parents are "pure breeds". So I would rather say he is 25% at MAX, not MIN.
So, was he ever outside of the US, like for example in Italy? Can he talk Italian? Was he born and/or raised in Italy? Is he still an American citizen or officially Italian? Why is Italian so much cooler than being American or Polish?
For being a nice healthy compilation of different strands from all over the world, he has more in common with toilet juice.

I'm guessing the "at least 25%" is to leave door open to the possibility he has more Italian relatives than just his mother, maybe?
His seizing on his Italian "heritage" is surely an identity thing. Back in the Connecticut days, before he became the pure-bred, one quartet Paisano we know toady, he was a "Gamer". He couldn't heat up butter on his fry pan. He doesn't have time that. He's a Gamer.
In the mind of the general American consciousness, Italians are flashy. They're a visibly identifiable ethnicity that an average, boring White Person can latch onto and pass as to seem interesting (Kiwi Farm's other Phil, ADL, has done the same thing with his "Latin heritage"). Unfortunately for DSP's Polish heritage, it doesn't have the identifiable image to compete.
