Titanic tourist submersible goes missing with search under way

That's the thing I think a lot of people are missing when I make fun of them using a cheap logitech controller.

I'm not against using controllers in certain situations. I'm not even against using cheap controllers in certain situations.

But using a cheap controller as the only means of controlling the vehicle you're trusting your life in at the bottom of the ocean with no backups (if anything a cheap wired controller COULD BE THE BACKUP) is where I have my issue.
it's a very boomer thing that ive always chocked up to the people around me having grown up poor in the ozarks so it's kind of bizarre seeing that same kind of cheapskate crab-in-pot mindset in action in something with such a level of prestiege. I expect this kind of nonsense from a guy running an italian resturant who doesn't want to pay for hood cleaning not a guy who's trying to go see the titanic

i guess it's just a truly pathological level of hubris that gets you there

The only good thing about this tragedy that the CEO went down with his ship. If that CEO wasn't on that sub on that day, he would distastefully gaslight everyone on his responsibility like he did with all the safety concerns.

Likely bribed everyone involved and made it all about himself.

I hate the loss of lives but people like him? They are a rare exception (oh and pajeets…and niggers…pedos and kikes too…hmmm…)

I'm amazed more Canadian companies aren't getting sued, there really is not oversight for engineering. You can just make shit up and sell it. Most big corporations just have so much red tape they don't allow for any nonsense, but small businesses are machining crap without proper tolerancing and shit all the time. Lots of Mickey mouse stuff is going on here.

But saaaaar it is 50 cents cheaper than other option saaaaar
My guess is they just have no frame of reference for a controller, the idiots think a controller is a controller and just buy the cheapest one like paying more is a scam. I've seen similar things irl. "Customer needs a micro switch for the brake? Just grab the cheapest one we can find online, we don't know anything about microswitches"

Because he was able to buy a bunch of surplus carbon fiber from Boeing on the cheap rather than having to splurge on Titanium which is very expensive. He didn't even customize the carbon fiber he got. He just bought a bunch of leftovers from plane production and glued it together. He didn't do any sort of research on what kind of different fiber or production methods would be best for this application. Nope, if it was good enough for the airplanes, it was good enough for him. If you ever have seen his interviews, he brags about he bought this extra space-sge material with Boeing. Boeing of course was not happy with this because at points he insinuated that he was working with Boeing on developing the material rather than just buying it from their surplus stock.
Without going into TMI territory, you wouldn't believe how anal Boeing is with its testing on the composite parts they make. An issue they have is that they have so little bubbles and defects in their composite wing components that it is hard to train inspectors on real parts (usually, the opposite is true for composites, the scans are too noisy). But this dumb retard thought he could just Yolo the bubbles out.

the crazy part is the the acoustic system they had did kind of work, because they did show something was wrong in the previous dive, he just ignored it. A submarine is probably the only thing where that type of "iamverysmart" novel """""non destructive testing"""""" could have worked and he fucked it up

This is a prime example of why you should listen to Scientists, even if you think they are "soy". Turns out scientists who spend multiple years studying the practicalities of submarines, maritime travels and engineering safety knows more than a retarded CEO that just thinks he can solve a problem with money.

You can argue otherwise until you're blue in the face, but the sheer and deliberate disregard for safety measures begs to differ.

Well, then assemble the evidence that proves specific people had the intent to kill those aboard Titan.

Anger is not evidence. Suspicion is not evidence. The "well they had to know somebody could die" idea does not meet the test for the crime of murder. You're in the negligence and manslaughter zone with that.

Srsly, you've got the evidence in front of you in the Coast Guard's just released report. Show us how the evidence proves beyond a reasonable doubt that a specific person or persons had the intent to kill that day.

Great video, however I think I'm suffering full blown AI psychosis. Some language used in the vid script leads me to suspect AI was used to write the script. It was the repeated "Y QUIETLY caused/caused X." Their ad for an AI aggregator further inflames my suspicion.

I'm not anti AI, but I'm concerned at my dwindling ability to definitively detect it.
