Wait, did Toby make the Chapter 5 dark world japanese because Japan is "the land of the rising sun", and flowers and plants need the sun to survive?? I literally just had this as a shower thought and the only reason i could think of for the dark world aesthetic that isn't Toby is a weeb.

Personally I think its because Asgore became a weeb after he broke up with Toriel. I think Alphys mentions him being into Mew Mew Kissy Cutie 2, and he also has a Mew Mew figurine that serves as the darkner body for the secret boss. The Knight wants to make the Roaring happen, but all it has done is abduct or attempt to abduct people that know the code to the shelter. There's two explanations for this, but maybe both could be true, or none of them.
EX 1: The shelter is where the Roaring is going to trigger. Maybe there's a machine inside the shelter that, when translated to the dark world, can kickstart the Roaring. Think of it like activating a nuke, they design that shit so one person can't trigger Armageddon. In addition to codes needed to enter the shelter, the dark world device would need codes to activate the machine. The Knight would have to force the code knowers into using the device, probably luring Kris and co. in to use them as hostages.
EX 2: The Knight actually isn't trying to make the Roaring happen, but is trying to prevent it by removing all the people that could help the heroes move forward. By preventing the prophecy from moving forward, disaster can never occur.
Both: The Knight doesn't want the Roaring to happen, and is trying to take anyone that may know the codes to the shelter. Asgore and Undyne know part of the code, Toriel may know either the police or church's part, Carol and maybe Rudy know the mayor's part, Alvin and Gerson know the church's part but Gerson, as far as anyone maybe even the Knight knows, can not speak any more. But if the Knight doesn't want the Roaring to happen, and the heroes don't want it to happen, why is the Knight being so secretive? Why kidnap people at all? The only reason would be that there's someone that knows the prophecy, that is watching the events of the game play out, so they can strike just as the prophecy reaches its climax. That would explain why Kris is helping the Knight. If they're both trying to work to defeat this hidden foe maybe Gaster, it would make perfect sense for them to work together in a way that makes it look like they're playing out the Prophecy as it was told, where no observer could figure out their plan. This is assuming that (you) are Gaster's listening device.

I don't think Sus was trying to off herself. She was genuinely starving and nervous, that's why she eats everything. She's seemingly dropping that habit, likely due to being able to eat actual food.
The issue with eating bad food doesn't work as well when she's a literal monster dinosaur that can likely eat anything with little issue. I doubt we'll ever see her with stomach ache or puking, it would be too hardcore.

If Nooseworx made Deltarune, Chapters 2-6 would be total filler, and then in chapter 7 Ralsei would troon out, call himself a faggot, and then turn into a titan and die.

Well, 2 of 4 happened so far. Ralsy being evil and dying is still on the menu. By the way, why is he wearing the butler uniform in Chapter 5? It feels like it was to poke fun at Chapter 2.

Not really. Seeing that no-one can tell when a Fountain is opened unless you're close, he could have opened multiple fountains anywhere and spam Titans like there's no tomorrow.
The issue that there's no theoretical limit on the Fountains people can make means that by shutting down the School Fountain, all others will cease to exist. That, or cover the town in darkness or something.

I've seen people pointing out that Toby probably wanted to make Kris a dude but made him "They/Them" because people liked Frisk so much.

A lot of fans accept the idea that Kris himself is a dude, especially if you look at how all his interactions are written, and is only called They because the player is taken into account for the pronouns and it acknowledges that Kris's actions aren't his own
