This playthrough is locked in for playthrough of the year at this rate it's fucking incredible. He is just being raped non stop.

The most fun gameplay from DSP has been in a long long time.

Some of my coworkers were talking about Pokemon cards today. They're using this app called Arena Club. Apparently you can pay $50 to open a virtual pack of already graded cards, there's an insurance option so the most you can lose it $15 per pull. If you get a hit you can get it shipped to you or resell it all through the app. Apparently these two guys have been making money doing this, just opening packs during downtime at work and reselling the hits. I gave them an executive summary of Phil's foray into card grifting and they agree that it's ridiculous to think that he really pulled that Greninja.
Greninja was also in super smash bros.

I wonder if he got this as it's a fighting game character and it's his favourite.

However, Phil’s need to schedule hair appointments with his wife….. That is beyond Chris-Chan levels of autistic.
He needs someone to help him schedule it. If he doesn't, he will simply never be able to get a haircut. Imagine DSP with disheveled, long gray hair.

Though I'm not surprised after looking at the degeneration of her hair as well. Whatever horrific hair stylist they use needs to be crucified like Gestas

If anything, Dark Souls 2 is the easiest FromSoftware game.
It's only hard if you rush ahead and pull too many mobs at a time, and if you don't take your time. The game tries to up the challenge by spamming gank fights at you but all you need to know is how to pull mobs correctly and play defensively/learn how to roll and manage your stamina and the game folds over.

The bosses once you have like 12 ADP are all very easy to dodge too.

And you pretty much have infinite healing thanks to Lifegems.

Personally I thought Souls 1 was harder (at least the levels were harder, the bosses were still quite pathetic).

Phil is just a scrub.

I can't take these Japanese pack openings anymore, it's like doing community service looking after a dementia patient who's fixated on Pokemon. His lack of knowledge is all the more obvious here because he has nothing he can lean on to feign knowledge about the cards. He called this "the whale pokemon", I haven't played Pokemon since I was 12 and I know it's fucking Wailmer. Whale is in the name, it's not hard to remember. Meanwhile Phil has played probably 10 times more Pokemon than me, far more recently, and still can't figure it out.

For me DS3 is the easiest, its the most polished and least jank coming after Bloodborne. Best bosses

DS2 all you need is the ADP and a pack of lifegems and you have incredible build variety, the most weapons out of any of those games and build potential. Easily you end up in the high 150+ levels

DS1 is harder, wasting levels punishes you harder, you beat Gwyn in the 70s. Less weapons, shittier handling. Bosses mostly stand there and the game is pretty short though.

I recently played through them all again and DS1 is by far the easiest imo. Game is basically a total joke if you have even the slightest bit of knowledge about it. You can get several gamebreaking weapons right off spawn. You can poise through everything with heavy armor and you get so much estus that you never need to worry about anything.

You may have heard of supply & demand. Well, it turns out demand doesn't matter. We've simplified it down to SUPPLY ONLY economics. Central banks around the world are reeling from this revelation. Asset prices are in freefall.

That he went on this rant against the most fundamental concept in economics that literally even children understand, while refreshing POKEMON CARD prices constantly is ALMOST unbelievable.
Hey, at least he's adding supply to the Burnellian economic theory. I remember several years ago when he was crying about the stock market or the Goyvid supply issues or whatever the fuck he actually claimed that prices are set at random.

I assume his business degree is a business management one, right? Anyone know?
It was business finance, which I think is even fucking worse as he doesn't understand even the most basic laws of economics.

Also, yesterday I claimed that despite being objectively a Soulslike game veteran, DownfromthePampers is playing his current DaS2 playthrough like he's playing a Souls game for the very first time in his life. I want to take that back, he's playing like someone who has picked up the controller for the first time in their fucking life. Honestly, I think even that is being generous because I remember playing a practical joke on my aunt back when I was a kid by making her play about 5 minutes of Prince of Persia Warrior Within and even she didn't get destroyed by the first enemy in the game.
