Yeah, that’s standard for non-retards in the US as well. No one actually cares about anyone else’s marriage vows as much as a bride and groom so the unspoken agreement is that you sit through the boring ceremony bit (especially if it’s a long-winded Catholic ceremony, Jesus those are long) and in return you get food and booze at the reception. I do think Cheyanne was uniquely positioned to seem normal to medical professionals. She always seemed clean and compliant-ish (not openly belligerent anyway). I would think being very educated (from my memory she earned a PhD in psychology, although maybe I'm mixing her up with someone else). I can see, on the surface, how she got by undetected as a giant faker, at least during the transplant process. She probably convinced the requisite professionals that she would take good care of her new organs. Aster, on the other hand, is a dirty, filthy, buggy menace who can't even comply with being NPO after major, major surgery. I feel much more confident that she could never make it onto a transplant list.
