Iran Crisis & the 2026 War between Iran and the United States, Gulf States, and Israel - Please focus on news and coverage, not argumentation.

the attempt to rewrite the historical narrative on this has been mind-blowingly successful.
Well, the issue is that the Boss keeps coming around spewing similar sounding rhetoric and then runs off when insulted/corrected.

Like with the pin from last week. Remember how we were totally giving them 300 garillion dollars after the MoU signing?

Lol do you realize how pathetic that sounds yea man mission accomplished we increased the price of their bread
The US military triggered an economic collapse in a distant land, by a very common measure (hyperinflation of one of the most essential commodities) with 3 months of effort, only one of which had active bombing. The US pushed Iran into negotiations largely on American terms with very few concessions, while losing very little leverage to restart strikes or the blockade. They did it while defeating the strategy of Iran, which was to trigger economic collapse in America and the world at large, by holding the oil flows of countries that weren't party to the conflict hostage. While oil prices increased, the US met a large portion of production shortfall and managed to exfiltrate oil from the strait. The US even managed to leverage Iran's biggest backer, China, into putting pressure on Iran to enter negotiations.

I forget the exact name but it was "Something of the Supercarrier"
The Seventh Carrier. Sounds cracktastic.

Right after those tweets Windward confirms those are virtually all previously-sanctioned Iranian or Chinese tankers carrying oil.
Except they're not. The majority are carrying oil from Iraq, Kuwait, and UAE. The fact they're transiting on the southern coast of the strait also speaks against Iran having any sort of influence over them. You can go on AIS right now, pick a random ship transiting the strait, and it's more likely than not it originated at khalifa. It will not be Iranian or Chinese. Iranian oil is transiting, but it's a fraction of the traffic.

I only ever had and read the final book, Assault of the Super Carrier. And yes, it was cracktastic but fun, since not a single one of the guys onboard Yonaga had any fucks to give in the slightest thanks to all that time in an ice cave and regularly called the Diet a bunch of cowardly old women thanks to everyone being forced to wear "Department of Parks" badges on their sleeves and hats instead of proper JMSDF insignia due to them refusing to actually go to war and presumably just designating Yonaga as a museum ship or something to justify the expenses of its upkeep and operation. The CAG even gets furious because they're getting shipped Hellcats instead of non-existent Zeroes and needs to be told to calm down by the Admiral in charge because its them or nothing.

A female journalist does get a much-deserved slap to the face from the main character, too, which was nice.

I absolutely refuse to believe for a second that this account or capability caught the Pentagon off guard or shocked anyone in the intelligence community.

Videos like this from China are dual purpose. They are both propaganda for Chineese tech, but also a show of force. Flying things like fighters and helicopters don't react well when colliding with things. Send several thousand cheap drones up in a vertical mesh and you have a net that can track, chase and adjust heading to down anything in your airspace. A single drone sucked into a jet engine, or hitting the blades of a helicopter is all it takes. And you're only out a couple hundred bucks.

If the US was caught off guard by this, then we deserved to lose those aircraft. Drone cost and tech is accessible by even the most retarded cave dwelling goat fucking sand nigger and the Chinese have been showing how to prevent airspace inclusion with these videos for years.

Abbas Aracghai and the negotiating team stormed off in a huff after Trumps Xeet as an excuse to go to their hotel room and watch the Iran soccer game.

Hm.

I wonder if things are going better than expected. Stuff is working out and the Iranians got forced to the negotiating table and their weapons programs are in ruins and their military is dead.

Id give it a 50/50 shot. The negotiating team could be glad to get the IRGC mostly off their backs to cut a decent deal or they could play the victim and claim they are being blackmailed by the IRGC to extract concessions. 'Iran cries out in pain as they attack you.' The last option is they are in lockstep with the IRGC on every issue but that seems unlikely.

The IRGC could do the North Korea strategy where they abuse and imprison families of the negotiating partners if they don't do their bidding. They will have a political officer or party leader go to act as an internal spy on the team. If they do something the IRGC doesn't like they return home and get arrested on charges of corruption and another guy takes his place.

Those are ships going in, which is presumably why that twitter account censored their destinations for low-information idiots like you. Of course they're not carrying oil from anywhere. They're empty.
Look, I'll do it right now.

Bow Saga, Norway flagged, departed Jebel Ali port in the UAE, transited the strait this morning, heading for Singapore.

Idiot.

Pakistan's PM says he'll visit Iran and meet the Supreme Leader.

I guess Mojtaba really is alive, how bad his injuries are remains to be seen.
I guess Iran is in a perfect position to prove it by releasing a photo them together that wasn't some AI slop with the Gayatollah's picture framed on a wall curtain.

My guess is the PM will play along and pretend that the meetings with Vahidi were all really with Mojtaba, if they don't post anything other than "The meetings reaffirmed the special relationship of social unity between Iran and Pakistan."

The U.S. Senate has voted 50-48 to approve a War Powers Resolution that would require congressional approval for any future military action against the Iranian terrorist regime.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2026/06/23/senate-votes-block-trump-resuming-iran-war/

The Senate passed the resolution 50-48, with four Republicans joining Democrats to support the measure. Two Republican senators — Mitch McConnell (Kentucky) and Dave McCormick (Pennsylvania) — missed the vote, allowing the measure to pass.

Sens. Susan Collins (R-Maine), Bill Cassidy (R-Louisiana), Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) voted for the resolution. One Democrat, Sen. John Fetterman (Pennsylvania), voted against it.
Functionally, it means nothing since Trump can veto it. Its more symbolic and signaling.
The senate is tired of Trumps war and even more tired of the quagmire its grown into. I don't see this as being a bad thing as Trump desprately needs to shore up domestic support for the midterms and this vote sends a message. You can guarantee they will extend the ceasefire MoU by another 90 days after the 60 days expire. The WPA was gay and retarded anyway since you can pull a Putin and embark on a 5-year 'special military operation'.

Reporter: The Iranians are saying there is no scheduled visits for IAEA inspectors?

Trump: They are wrong. They told us inside, and we have it down 100% inspections. If they were right, I cancel the meetings right now.

Reporter: When will the IAEA inspectors be on the ground in Iran?

Trump: At the appropriate time. There is no rush.

President Trump on his Iran deal:
Anybody that's been critical of the deal has to be educated, even if they are friends of mine.

Everything has been wiped out. They don't have a good negotiation position.

Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian has departed Islamabad and is headed back to Tehran.

The U.S. Senate voted 50–48 to approve the House-passed Iran War Powers Resolution that blocks military action against Iran unless President Trump first secures congressional authorization.
