A big part of lawyering is being able to predict what a court will do and tailor your arguments to what is best. If you watch Sean, he’s able to go, “Yeah, that’ll happen,” or “That’s dead in the water.” He can separate what he wants the law to be from what a court will actually do. Rekieta is unable to do this; he really believes the law is whatever he says it is, which is a death knell for a lawyer. See his whole Franks motion.

When he was doing coke, he was buying it in Minneapolis. He would do a couple round-trips a week down to the cities from Willmer/Spicer. He either didn't have any friends locally to buy anything through or he was scared enough of what was locally available up there to spend all that time driving back and forth.
Aaron just did a bit that might provoke a minor meltdown: first he talks about how he never hit April but he should have; then he says that April accused both her ex and Nick of abusing her: "I don't think Rekieta would look at April with so much reverence if he knew that she accused him of hitting her too... like she accused him of all kinds of abuse... don't ask me how I know, that would break his heart....
