I don't know why they don't airdrop pallets of rifles and ammo outside Tehran. Let the Iranians take their chances against the IRGC. Use airstrikes to prevent the IRGC from intercepting them. The people are not going to revolt unless you arm them and they have some self defense.

At worst you just give the IRGC more small arms which they already have thousands of so its a moot point.

I've turned into a complete hawk against islam since the war started. I used to despise our wars in the middle east, but now I see America as the only bulwark against the roaches and their heinous religion. On the topic of martyrdom, he kind of has a point about revered martyrs but what he's missing is that all these jihadis push for this and talk this language constantly. We're also talking about a culture that sees suicide attacks against civilians as "martyrdom". Theres also this problem with Iran where their messaging internally is radically different from their external messaging. When they make these bold statements to America theyre speaking directly to western detractors and painting themselves as victims, but internally the messaging is like Jonestown right before they mix up the flavoraid. The way they talk about martyrdom internally is more like a drugged up Jim Jones priming a bunch of innocent little black families for "revolutionary suicide". If the west ever finally wakes up we should destroy islam globally and put all of these people into Xinjiang style re-education camps that feature lessons about the failed experiment that is Islam.

I wouldn't get too worked up without specific evidence of it not being a training accident. US and UK SOF have camps up there.

If we were doing some kind of interoperability testing or rehearsal there's about a billion things that can go wrong -- shooting, breaching, helicopter gets wonky, vehicle rolls over (I was almost an "accidental" casualty in a combat zone from that one).

It's funny imaging Trump making Bibi his bitch over the phone but you are right that's why I mentioned it was Axios citing unnamed sources. They're about as reliable as al Arabiya, who I won't even post their shit here.

Good god you massively missed the point I was making, from my post explaining why the stubbornness Iranian regime is going forward with the correct choice for them given the situation, the point you extracted from that is I must be some multi-polar supporter who believes that the shithole states of Brazil, Russia, India, and China will kill Pax Americana and also subscribes to the idea of martyrdom (something I explicitly questioned its effectiveness in that post btw), I'm not that type of person, I simply give credit where credit is due, I'm simply acknowledging that Iran has some innate advantages to this war that Trump does not have.

It should be noted that this is the cost of Trumps bluster and weakness. If you don't follow through on what you say you're going to do 10+ times, your enemy smells weakness and will attack. His 'ceasefire' negotiations have zero effect on the enemy because he's perceived as being too scared to do anything except stick with the blockade and some small attacks on the boats.

Yeah youre right. The peace terms are shit for them and if they still believe in their cause then they should try to hold out. Clearly both sides are avoiding the risks of over-investing and betting on calamity and stress to get the other party first. The dehydration financial free fall and governmental instability MIGHT get them to flinch first but Trump clearly doesn't have much of a stomach for killing and big gay empires can be fickle and lose their will on a dime. In an asymmetrical conflict like this they are placing their bets where they should. I dont believe theyre gonna survive as the same regime even if we packed it up and left today, but im basing that on big fat guesses about their internal politics and problems. It's quite possible that America is the wind that makes them cling to their jacket and peacetime will be the sun.
