Hm.

I am not seeing this "affordability crisis" when I look around.
"Affordability crisis could be here" he thought. "I've never been in this grocery store before. There could be AFFORDABILITY CRISIS anywhere!" The cool wind felt good against his bare chest. "I HATE AFFORDABILITY CRISIS" he thought.

Jim Cramer reverberated his entire shopping cart, making it pulsate even as the free sample of Mt. Dew circulated in his veins.

We are making Cotton great again!

The MAHA movement doesn't stop with what we EAT — It's also about what we WEAR.

For decades, America offshored textile jobs and allowed foreign synthetic, plastic-based materials to take over the clothing market.

Together with @SecKennedy, the Great American Cotton Plan puts American-grown cotton FIRST again: supporting our farmers, strengthening U.S. manufacturing, and giving families a natural choice.

The Great American Cotton Plan is putting our farmers first and Making America Healthy Again:

Supporting American farmers & 125,000 jobs
Boosting U.S. production & reclaiming our #1 exporter spot
Rebuilding domestic textile mills and manufacturing jobs
Improving our health by choosing natural fibers over harmful synthetics and microplastics

American grown. Globally worn.

Plant, not plastic. America, not Brazil.

Thank you @RCamposDuffy, @CharlesHurt, @GriffJenkins, and the entire @foxandfriends
team. So grateful for the chance to talk American cotton and MAHA this morning!

Property taxes are going to begin to be relieved in Florida thanks to Ron:
JUST IN: Governor DeSantis leads the charge to eliminate property taxes in Florida under a new plan aimed at giving homeowners relief.

"This is really a historic opportunity to have more money in people's pockets and to actually have their home be their private property that the government just can't use as a piggy bank." | @SundayFutures

TikTok showing Trump reigniting Malcom X park:

To chime in on the beef situation, personally I pay a bit over $6 a pound, but I'm willingly paying extra for the convenience of having it be individually vacuum sealed into one pound packs as well as getting 93/7 instead of 80/20. Looking at bulk packs of 80/20 I'm seeing it for $4.50-$5/lb before coupons/sales

Y'all gotta get on the monkey biscuits.
He really enjoyed them but ended up shitting nonstop for two days straight because of the fiber

The panic comes when they realize AI can't actually do what humans do, but the humans who did the things are gone. Apple's one of the few tech companies that did not think Markov chain generation can replace genuine expertise and did not fire all their senior employees. They may just run away with everything as all their competitors' products crumble to shit.

We fired so many engineers in the last 12 months because our software suppliers assured our CEO that text autocomplete has made intelligence obsolete that I wouldn't be surprised to see us shut down whole product lines in the next 3 years.
Apple is also one of the few companies that did not overexpand like crazy during COVID. As far as big tech companies go they play it pretty safe, and have relatively few R&D boondoggles all things considered.

for posterity I want to add this map with the Beaufort castle highlighted, the new furthest push north by Israel since the 1967 kerfuffle

borders painstakingly traced in MS paint

lebanon is a very tiny nation so this push represents a significant "thrust" into the interior of the nation and will likely seek to isolate the provinces in the south diplomatically and politically, Golan heights them more or less.

CTR will you ask your boss what the big plan there is? I though the pager attack wiped out the entire Hezbollah command structure. are you guys seeking to annex this nothern territory or is that just going to be a happy coincidence for trying to FINALLY snuff out the Hezzys.

I tell you what though, this ally of ours needs a talking to, on paper we are supposed to be "mere minutes away from a peace deal" and Iran has made it abundantly clear that any peace deal needs to include peace in Lebanon to.

Trump should appoint Marco as the new CEO of Israel and claim that means he is above the government

Trump signed an EO that basically puts a target on the USPS, making it do what the SAVE Act should do:

This will be challenged of course but it's the voting equivalent of kettling, making them have to draw a certain set of rules about gay mail in voting to the point where they have no alternatives.

Amazon spent half a billion in a month on Claude tokens and Microsoft was ranking employees based off AI usage, ie more tokens used = better employee without considering WHAT the tokens were used on

it was a free for all
Imagine some HIB hire getting employee of the month because he keeps generating bobs and vagene.

I didn't say that, or even imply that.
All I did was invert your response, which was used in defense of Raisin's Lonely Fact fallacy.

The argument that Sammich is "ignorant of markets" outside his sphere doesn't hold when Raisin demonstrated to actually be the one ignorant of markets outside his sphere in his solipsistic complaint. I don't have a lot of sympathy for spastics that are clearly fishing for fellow travelers in their own personal misery, and I say that as someone that lives in a blue state myself and is paying in the middle of those two separate points that were listed.

Same goes for gas, too, because I've noticed how the highest average prices are primarily in indigo blue states that are charter members of the Green Cult. I do have sympathy for non-Dem voters that have to put up with that shit by virtue of living there, but that doesn't mean I don't recognize Democratic complaints about the price of gas being completely disingenuous, as well. Especially considering how they've gone hell bent for leather to kill the industry completely since Al Gore's retarded propaganda flick came out, along with evergreen "10-20 years until we run out of oil!" prediction they've been making since 1970.

so clearly that inflation number is horse pucky, its likely 4 or 5 times the number they admit, I think 10-12% YoY inflation is more accurate to what the majority of the economy is feeling
>> Proves that the rate of inflation over 25 years is several times more than the stated 100% because the price of a bag of chips have increased 75%.

Never change, Studs. He is on the precipe of an actual point here, but as usual a little of the mark.

That is, publicly traded companies are an ontological evil, and are a communist corruption of capitalism. Publicly traded companies are legally obligated to increase revenue every year, and it's an absurdly destructive force.

I try to give my business to private/family owned businesses, and when you really start paying attention to which is where you are shopping, at least to me personally, it's extremely obvious by their price and quality. In general I notice Family owned corporations have better service, quality, and(sometimes or) prices compared to publicly traded ones.

Chik-fil-a and Raising Canes are examples for fast food. Competitive prices, with much better food and service. Trader Joe's isn't going to beat my local grocery store in price, but it blows its closer brand Whole Foods out of the water. QT is about the only gas station I go to nowadays, all the other are dirty and surrounded by hobos. Costco is one of the few exceptions to this, being publicly traded, but that seems to be a blessing imposed by threats of violence for now(the famous Hotdog combo story).

Not all of them are going to strictly be better, but I think the shareholders are an albatross on a companies neck that drives them to slowly kill themselves to extract every penny of value, rather than being profitable and successful for decades.

I was lead to believe with Biden out of office and Trump in charge, America was great again. It's been a year and a half. Why are basic things like this more expensive than they've ever been? $8-$10 bucks for a lb of ground beef? I don't think people voted for this. This used to be poverty tier food.

I'm not thrilled about food prices, but it's funny watching people bitch about it when they're also spending $3,500/month on medicine for their obesity related illnesses that could be cured for free by eating less.

You do understand that may not be true in other states or regions

I said "here" i didn't say "everywhere" you condescending faggot. If i said "everywhere" you might have had a point, you condescending faggot. The use of "here" means where i am, you condescending faggot.

The point clearly escaped you in your rush to talk down to me, the price hasn't DOUBLED. that was my point. THE PRICE HAS RISEN SLIGHTLY. the price has NOT doubled.

Apple TV has been a loser, but aside from that, the company knows what their market is and they crush it.
One of the dumbest evolutions and greatest ironies of the streaming era is how media companies have all transitioned to ad-based tiers that give you the same fucking experience that you got with over-the-air, for free. Now, this isn't a surprise because media has ALWAYS survived off of ad revenue, even the print media, but for some reason these companies all initially thought they could transfer Costco's subscriber-based business model to streaming and still make money. Not to sound like a Boomer, but I'd happily trade off the convenience of streaming for the cost reduction of OTA media again. Too bad all these companies make such unentertaining shit these days.

Hm.

I am not seeing this "affordability crisis" when I look around.
Me neither but it occurred to me the other day that I basically don't buy anything other than food so I wouldn't know.
My girlfriend buys all kinds of worthless crap and she hasn't said anything but she also gives 0 fucks about politics or culture wars whatsoever.
My parents are talking about it but that's 100% because cnn told them to.
My brother and sister are complaining about it and that's 100% because reddit and tiktok told them to....

I just can't find the pattern.

he implied that must be true nationally.
The fuck i did, I called raisin full of shit on the scale of the increase. You completely blew past what i was saying to shove your bullshit on me. You continue to claim i never travel more than 25 miles from where i live, and claim i am some retarded fuck that is claiming shit i clearly didn't claim.

I really don't get your issue with me at all, or why you are doing this. I merely said the price of beef in my area hasn't changed much. It absolutely has not doubled anywhere.

yall are semantics posting, you guys are 2 of the better posters in here, this is unbecoming of you both

clearly the point of difference is very small.

I think the price issue is very localized and what can be true for one can be false for another

you got to love how pragmatic the serbs are I PROMISE YOU, the conversation at HQ went something like

"this American guy in charge is super gun ho for foreign wars, maybe we rub his ego and he says the needful kosovo belong to serbia" and then they trash the conference room they are in out of sheer exuberance of the meer talk of Kosovo being recognized as theirs.

You wanna piss a serb off all you have to say is "Kosovo is independent" they will insult your dead grandmother and tell you new ways to call someone a halfbreed.

Those balkans mfers were born with 3 chips on each shoulder and a temper to match
