But that assumes that AI is going to continue to scale at the same pace it has over the past two years and that the bubble isn't going to burst within the next decade or so. While there will be and has been an overall decrease in SW jobs I'm not (yet) of the opinion that it'll completely supercede them. Plus, while you're right that the poos are going balls deep into investing into specialized LLMs, they're not the only ones with access to it. Anything an Indian can do, a White guy can do more efficiently and...well, better. The difference in quality between a jeet vibe coding all their shit with Claude and an actual SWE using it to augment their work is night and day.

For what its worth, pricing is still well below cost for most of the models, and its only just starting to go up some. Once they start actually pricing to break even, much less to make money, it's just gonna get worse as they fall into a cycle of reduced audience due to price, increasing the fixed-cost load of every other user, decreasing userbase even more. Like all cloud infrastructure, it only works at or above a certain scale of use.
