I've been operating under the assumption that it's her who's pushing for the expensive work instead of the more economical pulling. Medicaid was going to pay for the teeth to be pulled, but she was appealing that from the start (they said no, of course, because it's Medicaid, not your employer's gold-plated policy). She's always like this: she'll tell you about her imaginary MJ conversations in excruciating detail, but when you actually want to know something, like wtf is going on with her teeth, there's scant information shared.
Whatever's going on, she/her parents are spending way too much on dental work, though it's not like she'll be able to inherit a lot of money from her parents without losing her benefits-- so maybe that's the thinking? Who knows.
