🤝 Community Munchausen's by Internet (Malingerers, Munchies, Spoonies, etc) - Feigning Illnesses for Attention

I do actually think Aster likely has some SMI, but the persistent selfishness and refusal to understand the purpose of a domestic violence shelter is astounding, even for her. She really thought this was going to be a slumber party.
Aster thinks she'd prefer staying with her mom over the DV shelter.
OBVIOUSLY! Because you needing to wash your stuff before staying there is not abuse (also she herself even admitted shelters make you do this too). Shelters are cold, clinical places where you get way less than a whole room to yourself. And EVERYONE is "activated" all the time because they're escaping a situation where their partner could bash their head in at any time.
Aster implies the DV shelter has already gotten upset at her for purchasing too many household items.
Because shelters are supposed to be temporary, Aster. Not an ingenious solution for indefinite free rent.
Aster misses food delivery, which she isn't allowed to order at the DV shelter.
This one is so self-explanatory, and the same goes for why she can't have a nurse pop in, and also why she absolutely should NOT be making tiktoks in the house. If any of these people come and see someone they know, actually very violent men could come looking. People's lives are at stake with the privacy of DV shelters.

It's so clear from the way she just assumed she would get special privileges like a private room because she's disabled, that this is just the ultimate scheme for free stuff. Again, this girl actually needs serious help. More serious than a DV shelter is equipped to provide.

She asks for money to go the ER. She maybe doxes her location and the location of the DV shelter. (Censoring is hers, I didn't screencap the whole image.)

She posted the prices to take an uber at 3:30 am, even though she'd be ordering the uber at 7:30. Uber has dynamic pricing. Once I checked how much it would be to Uber home at like 11 PM and I guess it was a pricing surge, because it was almost three times as expensive as usual. I walked to the corner of the next street, waited five minutes and checked again, and it was back to normal pricing.

Her Uber definitely ended up being half of what she asked for, which is why she had extra money to get lunch.

Edit:

A lot of shelters will actually make you go through the delousing powder during intake. Is that how she finally got rid of the bedbugs, or did she get the shelter infested, too?

Ostatnio edytowane:
Sunny's father also has bedbugs.
How. HOW do these people all have fucking bugs? I get that they're insidious and spread quickly, but Jesus.
Someone requests money from Aster on cashapp and she gets mad
Fucking hilarious.
Serious Mental Illness insurance doesn't cover planned parenthood
Good thing PP operates on a sliding scale for people without insurance. She's so willfully stupid and/or thinks her audience is stupid.
Aster needs to pay both her storage bills again. She also desperately needs 4-5 pairs of $30 compression socks.
I do not understand this storage thing. She "desperately" needs to keep her "necessary" medical devices . . . That have been locked in storage for 2+ years. She needs them REALLY BADLY though.

She's a fucking hoarder. Her poor roommates, especially the ones who have lived through genuine DV and have to deal with her piss-leaking buggy ass.
The moment she thinks anything (“my port is infected,” “my roommate hates me,” “I’m starving,” “my mom is abusive”) it becomes 100% True and Real to her, and convincing her otherwise is nearly impossible because she is constantly ruminating on her feelings. She might actually benefit from mindfulness therapy and learning how to separate herself from her thoughts, if she has enough intelligence for that.
Textbook BPD, man. Also why we can't actually trust anything she claims other people say to/about her. She filters everything through her incredibly skewed perspective. I highly doubt her Mom does anything worse than yell at her for spreading bedbugs everywhere. Which, understandable!!

12811.png 12810.webp

Her list of mental illnesses is literally nonsensical. There's no way she's got Schizoaffective disorder, for one. And if she did, that's not "caused" by trauma, that shit is genetic/chemical. Saying otherwise is, gasp, ableist
Her Uber definitely ended up being half of what she asked for, which is why she had extra money to get lunch.
Classic grifter move. I can't believe she ever raises any money considering how often she just buys something else entirely after fundraising for a particular item.

And her obsession with Doordash is so egregious. Like, I know Kids These Days can't fucking cook, but she claims she can't buy any substantial groceries for $20-$30 so she must Doordash. It's bonkers. I'd sperg about cooking on a budget and the meals she can make with that budget, but it's been done a ton and there's even a Poorfag Kiwi recipe thread, so I won't. But she's up there with Polissa, Corissa/Jay and Vicky Markhoff on level of Doordash entitlement

Ugh she's so obnoxious! And I can't stop reading! More! More!

I highly doubt her Mom does anything worse than yell at her for spreading bedbugs everywhere.
I believe her descriptions of her unusual childhood (even if they are likely exaggerated). As others have noted, her mom seems cool as hell, but I think we’re seeing the possible negative consequences of having a cool as hell mom who took you to Burning Man every year when you were in elementary school, dealt weed, and treated you like a friend instead of a child. I’m sure Aster saw things that were inappropriate and was given too much responsibility to help care for her disabled brother. I can believe her mom was neglectful. I just don’t believe she was physically abusive and Aster’s attempts to paint her as a monster for smacking her as an adult are lame.
But she's up there with Polissa, Corissa/Jay and Vicky Markhoff on level of Doordash entitlement
Have you read the Mem thread? Mem claims that she needs $27,000/year for Door Dash or she will die.

This might be the stupidest series of questions ever, but how do the spoonies determine how many spoons they start with..are they all assigned a predetermined amount or is it different for each one? Like when you decide you're a spoonie do you sign up and get a welcome kit? How do they know how many spoons each activity uses? I'm so confused about the spoonie lifestyle. I'm guessing, though, that being online incessantly either costs no spoons or maybe increases the supply? 1 asspat=1 spoon?
Easy. You learn spoon theory from another spoonie, find out how many spoons they have then one-up the poor sod who used a spoon to teach you this by saying you have less spoons at baseline

tardive dyskinesia, sub-type TAD (Tardive Ahegao dyskinesia)

whatever that chick’s got going on is definitely just pure retardation

For anyone else curious like my why she may have been taking Abilify in the first place., here is what Dr. Google had to say: Abilify (aripiprazole) is an antipsychotic medication used to treat schizophrenia, bipolar I disorder, major depressive disorder, Tourette's disorder, and autistic disorder in certain patients.

She appears to have her tiktok locked down and I refuse to download (more) Chinese spyware onto my phone but here is what I was able to glean from google:

She appears to have a tard younger sister (Aster 2?):

Yanir590 1.png

She's an ex(?)-Mormon (L):

Yanir590 4.png

And is the product of mixed parents (L):

Yanir590 2.png Yanir590 3.png

From what I can see, the rest of her posts appear to be about how Atlanta twerk classes help her mentals or something (no links sorry, its nothing special anyways). I for one am shocked that shaking her ass hasn't cured whatever the fuck she got going on and that her doctors went straight for the good stuff.

Abilify is frequently given off label in small doses as an add on to typical antidepressants—which I am super against because the side effects can be really nasty. I’ve seen people gain 60+lbs on abilify which does not help with depression.

Hmm I wonder why that is? I think there's a word for it... some kind of term... hmm it's just escaping me right now...

This could fit here and/or potentially the Munchausen's by Internet thread. The video itself is in German, but I first came across the auto-dubbed version with a translated title. Unfortunately, AI auto-dubbing is fucking terrible so it's difficult to understand. I put the transcript through google translate, which was good enough.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=OD_B2HTpNnc
I left some of the time stamps in so that it's easier to follow along with the video, if you so desire.

Solid food is forbidden for Edda.
Edda is fed an entirely liquid diet. Specifically, it consists of amino acids.
It used to be Mom who did it.
"Yeah, wait—I just have to tell you something very briefly."
Instead of receiving support, the family also faces insults online.
Instead of taking a closer look—of trying to understand and help—people simply pass judgment. And in real life...
Man. Like, if someone calls you a "loser" or something—that’s usually what they say to me, too.

0:33
Edda loves helping out in the kitchen. That’s good. Yeah. Are you back down? Yes, down.
Yet the eight-year-old [music] doesn't know what the food tastes like—the very food she’s cooking here with her mom, Annika, and her sister, Hayy.
She’s never known anything else; as for us, we try to include her in everything. That means we’re always there for her. Except when it comes to her cocoa—that requires very little effort,

0:55
because this cocoa is Edda’s only source of nutrition—and has been since the day she was born—and it comes from a bottle. She drinks one bottle every hour. A six-pack of this specialized nutritional formula costs €500.
Paid for by the health insurance provider. One pack lasts for a single day.
If we were to give her solid food now...
...she would choke and die. She has no gag reflex. She can't even stick her tongue out. It just doesn't work.
There were complications during Edda’s birth. She had to undergo surgery. Edda’s ordeal may well have begun right here.

1:30
There are two sets of symptoms: for instance, the esophagus [music] is inflamed, the stomach is inflamed; or we have epileptic seizures; or we have a variant where
we experience muscle failure. But as for the *why*—the *how*, the *wherefore*, and the *where it even comes from*—we know absolutely nothing.
Some doctors prefer not to speak on camera—they simply know too little, and have too little to say, regarding Edda’s rare condition. Annika is married, has two other daughters, and is
employed as a self-employed elderly care provider. It is a balancing act that often demands a great deal of her. "I’m the 'all-rounder' in the family,"

2:03
I’d say.
"I’m constantly jumping from point A to point B." "Are you going back to school tomorrow?" "Yes? Good."
Edda has the cognitive development of a three-year-old. She attends a special needs school, accompanied by a medical specialist. Annika [music] found that specialist online. She also
occasionally posts photos of her family’s daily life. Annika says that 95% of the reactions are positive—but then there are the "haters."

2:28
"Well, just last night, someone messaged me [music] saying, 'This mother is absolutely despicable—she’s still using her child on the internet to make money,'
'essentially offering her up to pedophiles.'"
By now, she has a lawyer who handles such posts. But why does she go public with Edder at all, if such reactions are the result?
Simply—[music]—to raise awareness about rare diseases; to show that there are children out there who may look incredibly cute, but who are still fighting every single day.
13-year-old Haley is also bullied because of Edder. She is even labeled a "victim" herself, the student recounts. She has even already changed schools.

3:05
But it continues, Haley says. "Most of the time, I just get so angry..."
"...that I’d really just want to punch most of them." "You really would?" "But you don't."
"No, I really don't."

3:21
We reach out to the school for comment. What are they doing to address the bullying Haley is facing?
The Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport for the State of Brandenburg responds to us in writing.
In her class, a "Class Council" is held regularly, during which sensitive topics—such as bullying and classroom dynamics—
are addressed and facilitated by the class teacher in a fair and appropriate manner. For her family, Annika wishes to be accepted just as they are—
without hostility, and with greater understanding. And what does she wish for Ed?

3:54
—that we receive optimal care,
that we find a doctor who can help us—someone who can tell us exactly what we are dealing with, who can finally give the illness a name—so that she isn't always dependent on this monotonous diet.
No one knows what the future holds for Edder...
Edda cannot eat solid foods and has been relying on the same formula since she was born. She drinks her formula from a baby bottle. She has some sort of undiagnosed (probably genetic, imo) disorder - she is eight years old but functions on a three-year-old level, has no gag reflex, GI inflammation, epilepsy, and "muscle failure."

But the red flags abound. I'd imagine that even in Germany, if an eight-year-old cannot eat solid foods at all and has been dependent on the same formula for her whole life, they would at least place a feeding tube for the formula. Maybe Edda enjoys the bottle, but someone has to prepare one for her every hour.
Then there's the fact that Haley, the other daughter, has been bullied relentlessly at school because of Edda and called a "victim." The mother, Annika, is accused of offering her daughter up to pedophiles and posting about her online just to make money. She has a lawyer to "handle this." Kids can be cruel, and so can equally-intelligent internet users, but that seems a bit too specific to be explained away by simple bullying.
I posted about this MBI-adjacent mother in another thread, but it's relevant enough to crosspost for those who don't keep up with it. Annika, the mother, seems suspicious. She's doing whatever the fuck this is with her disabled daughter, and she's a self-employed elderly caregiver.

Aster: Part 10

Aster got an offer to move in with some random people in Portland. Can she raise enough money and stay out of the hospital long enough to do it? Let's find out!
Aster reveals she is $593 in Klarna debt.
1777782646743.png
1777782794509.png
Aster screams at her mom. It works.
1777782686190.png
1777782824682.png
Aster says she intends on contributing nothing at all towards the household.
(I left out a quick ER visit at the end of June because Aster vomited once and felt bad. Nothing happened.)
1777782814376.png
She then analyzes her and her mom's personality disorders.
1777782771415.png
1777782784081.png
And she thinks about their relationship.
In short, Aster defends her medical symptoms. She's always dismissed because doctors just don't understand her disease, doctors always love her personality, she's only applied for social security insurance once because you have to apply a lot of times before you get accepted, she has so many medical devices so she can't possibly be motivated by attention, etc etc.
1777783110797.png
1777783133976.png
1777783143963.png
Aster can't cook because the pots and pans are dirty. (She also makes a weird claim about her mom "throwing" the dirty dishes into the backyard.)
1777783398844.png
Aster suspects her risperidone is contributing to her hypersomnia and wants to stop taking it.
1777783675856.png
She has also been regaining mobility.
1777783685247.png
Aster looks into getting a hotel room. She only has $80.
1777778177075.png
She plans to drop $20-25 dollars on breakfast.
1777778440786.png
But the serious mental illness clinic insists on having Aster come for a wellness check.
1777778433935.png
Aster's mom gets back home with Sunny. Sunny tells Aster that Monique was crying in the car.
Monique tells Aster that she needs to give Sunny his bed back, but Aster doesn't want to. She thinks he doesn't even need it, anyways.
1777778514697.png
Aster wants to kill herself.
1777778565414.png
And picks at a bug bite too much.
1777782417522.png
Aster gets mad at random e-beggars claiming to be Palestinian asking her to reblog their dono posts.
1777778213175.png
1777778304751.png
1777859173928.png
THE GASH replies and calls her selfish.
1777778728355.png
1777778827878.png
1777778839536.png
1777778717513.png
1777778770787.png
1777778780707.png
1777778790350.png
Aster apologizes to all her followers.
1777778905936.png
1777778595567.png
1777779155844.png
But the next day, Aster is mad about it.
1777779116259.png
1777780800296.png
But she apologizes again after losing a few friends.
1777779242519.png
1777779260623.png
1777782340214.png
1777782352476.png
1777779371229.png
But she goes back to seething about it privately.
1777782270706.png
Aster calls THE GASH "white presenting" and accuses her of antiblackness.
1777782197538.png
1777780820891.png
1777780815676.png
1777780939662.png
1777780981785.png
1777780991019.png
1777780998126.png "it/that thing pronouns"
1777781061452.png
Aster has a $111 Klarna payment due tomorrow.
1777778969110.png
But her situation at home isn't great. Her mom really does not want her to sleep inside.
1777779063695.png
Her mom accuses Aster of being "sexually exploitative" for wearing Walmart pajama shorts.
1777779288515.png
1777781859465.png
1777781935253.png
Aster tells her mom she's a bad parent.
1777781904991.png
She blames an alter for saying that.
1777781987304.png
Her mom uses torture tactics.
1777781998633.png
Aster and Sunny practice handstands. We can see the sexually exploitative shorts.

1777782142726.png
1777782038500.png
Aster wears the shorts again.
1777780774531.png
Another fight.
1777779297924.png
1777780712058.png
1777782027380.png
Aster gets enough to pay for her storage and is only $60 away from being able to purchase the ticket.
1777779354117.png
She gets the money and orders the ticket. It was only $245, so the rest of the $795 is just for travel-related expenses like Ubers, a cat carrier, and checked bags.
1777779391836.png
1777780731676.png
1777780744146.png
1777780759401.png
1777779458083.png
Aster tries to move the flight up almost immediately. But a sooner flight is more expensive.
1777779436592.png
Aster needs even more money for, uh, something.
1777779533594.png
Aster's little brother is really sad that she's leaving.
1777780840940.png
1777780891502.png
1777780863637.png
1777779552138.png
Aster's mom is sick in bed. Sunny locks the cats out, and her mom yells at both her and Sunny.
1777781153552.png
Monique goes through Aster's phone and finds her socials.
1777780364459.png
1777781187957.png
Aster postpones her flight by 5 days. She'll explain more later.
1777779576143.png
We learn the reason. Her mom has been hospitalized for chemical pneumonia. Aster needs to take care of her brother for a little bit.
1777781277175.png
1777779633697.png
Aster is glad that she gets to spend more time with Sunny before she leaves.
1777781312494.png
1777781351067.png
Aster buys a $218 rollator with Klarna.
1777779676491.png
Aster seethes about her friend breakup with THE GASH. She accuses THE GASH of antiblack racism again.
1777779717467.png
Aster finally posts her Pride month group dono post that she started working on at the beginning of June. It's halfway through July, so it's now a disability pride dono post.
1777779817428.png
Aster has spent a bunch of money on Doordash for her and Sunny while her mom is in the hospital. She makes another dono post.
1777779897994.png
Aster buys a new air mattress.
She didn't end up buying one the last time she mentioned it, so the "Air mattresses wasted" count is still 9.
1777779945160.png
Aster spends $30-40 a meal for three people. Her food stamps come in, so she can use some of that money.
1777781386963.png
Aster prepares to fight with her mom when she's out of the hospital.
1777780506849.png
Aster is worried she'll sleep too long, leaving Sunny on his own.
1777781495125.png
Aster's mom threatens to send Sunny's social worker to check on them because she suspects he's not being taken care of. Aster is upset that she's expected to take care of her brother while her mom is in the hospital.
1777780195195.png
1777781442378.png
1777781469840.png
1777781506865.png
1777780614874.png
1777780278849.png
Aster finds glee in her mom having a bad experience at the hospital.
1777781544228.png
1777781555087.png
1777781569849.png
Aster tells her mom that she risks getting blacklisted if she leaves AMA. She later finds out she's wrong.
1777781616894.png
1777780373210.png
Aster feels bad about how she acted.
1777783920896.png
Aster gets a lot of bug bites. She thinks it's a lingering infestation.
1777786031808.png
In Portland, Aster is going to hang out with the girl who tried to kill her when she was 4.
1777786189206.png
Monique thinks she's going to be sent home today. Aster sees her labs - her potassium is Wack and she has metabolic acidosis. She thinks there's no way she's getting sent home.
1777784045446.png
Aster takes Sunny to the pool.
1777786593455.png
Monique comes home later that day.
1777786051454.png
Aster's mom asks her to leave sooner.
1777786616239.png
More fighting about Aster's ailments
1777786414416.png
1777786419357.png
1777786743117.png
1777786767670.png
1777786985250.png
It's not clear what exactly leads up to this. Aster says her mom spit on her and threatened to call the cops.
Aster finds a motel to stay in. She needs money for it.
1777786663093.png
1777787042874.png
Aster ubers to the motel, but it's overbooked.
1777786821988.png
Aster is truly ready to kill herself.
1777786696827.png
Aster gets to the new motel. The receptionist changes her room to one the 1st floor and lets her stay without presenting a physical ID.
1777786799515.png
She doesn't like the hotel
1777787138891.png
And she thinks she got swimmer's ear
1777787149299.png
Aster winds down at the hotel. She doesn't have her storage keys or a few of her debit cards.
1777787189085.png
Her abandonment issues are flaring.
1777787202308.png
She is going to miss Sunny. But maybe he's better off without her.
1777786398494.png
1777786435489.png
Aster unfriends her mom on Facebook after being vagued.
1777787971929.png
If Aster kills herself, it's the system's fault.
1777787994306.png
Aster finds a hotel. It's $755 for the week including the deposit.
1777788079219.png
Aster moves to a less shitty hotel, but it turns out it sucks too.
1777788019683.png
Aster's urine has "chunks" in it
1777786456881.png
Aster texts her mom.

1777786322434.png
Aster thinks she's sick.
1777788143854.png
And wastes more money for entirely avoidable reasons.
1777788128985.png
Aster makes a TikTok from her hotel.

She goes to urgent care for her ears.
1777788328205.png
Aster begs for more money the next day.

1777788684226.png
Aster does the calculations. The official number is $1065
1777788755125.png
Aster decides to take Artemis to the vet. She never mentions it again, so it probably didn't happen.

Aster has "trashed" her hotel room.
1777789037067.png

Aster makes someone watch her fix her supposedly dislocated hip. She has to because she has a bed alarm because she's a fall risk.
1777789375284.png
Aster is bored.
1777789781690.png
She films two dancing TikToks. The first one is at the top of this post. Here's the second:

Aster figures out that she's so antsy because she's taking modafinil with 0 tolerance while confined to a bed.
1777789601193.png
1777789613715.png
Aster buys a cheap laptop. (I think she ends up forgetting about this.)
1777789628925.png
It's the 21st, the day Aster was supposed to fly out. Aster wants to reschedule but needs to pay fees. She needs a lot more money.

1777790105958.png
Aster asks for money so she can wear adult diapers for her period.
1777790154587.png
Aster is reminded that when people give her money, it's not being materialized out of thin air. This makes her defensive because she feels guilty.
1777790241841.png
Aster has also posted maybe 5 or 6 times about which mobility aid to bring on the plane with her.
1777790311231.png
Aster books the flight for Monday! It's happening!
1777790335238.png
Aster thinks that discontinuing her risperidone has gone really well so far. It really has helped her sleep problems, and she feels really stable. (But Aster doesn't really think about how badly she has blown up her relationship with her mom.)
1777790383613.png
For some reason, the hotel deposits are adding up.
1777790459244.png

and she thinks her intestines are shutting down.
1777790582030.png
Aster decides to bring her wheelchair on the plane. (It's common discourse on Tumblr at this time to talk about how wheelchairs ALWAYS get destroyed when taken on planes.)

1777791289064.png
Someone gets upset at Aster's donation post spam. They're specifically mad that she typically asks rebloggers not to use words or tags like "donation" or "dono" so that people can't use extensions to block them via tag or keyword. Aster knows how this system works, but she pretends that she thinks that the person is complaining that she added spammy tags to the post.

Aster asks her friends to stop "approaching" (harassing) that person.
1777792730794.png
It doesn't seem like it worked.
1777792748654.png
(Nearly a week later, she's still getting hate.)
1777793547029.png
Aster tries to see if she can juice the situation a little bit more.
1777792683058.png
Aster realizes that her friends who she thought liked the EVIL post were actually just liking a response to them. This is an extremely well known quirk of Tumblr's interface. Oops!

The doctors don't find anything wrong with her urine.
1777793295781.png
1777793366478.png
But she does find out that she has colonic diverticulosis.
1777793329074.png
and a kidney stone.

It's not draining as much urine as it should be.
1777833524756.png
The next day, Aster misses her urology appointment and asks for more hotel money.
1777833558841.png
She also has a $112 Klarna payment that's past due.
1777833577093.png
But she does get a new catheter.
1777833607183.png
And she gets her urine cultured. No growth.
1777833664277.png
She reschedules her plane ticket again, this time for Saturday, August 3rd. It's July 31st.
1777833648848.png
The hotel is overcharging Aster and she's losing money left and right.
1777833774981.png

1777833686506.png

1777833754295.png
Aster reschedules the flight again.
1777833741231.png
She still feels ill.
1777833988453.png
Her temp is a whopping 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit (37.5 degrees Celsius)
1777834008316.png
But it's lower when the nurses check it.
1777834063304.png
Someone on TikTok tells her she should go to the ER. Aster gets mad about it.

This means she needs more hotel money.
1777834210051.png
Aster's mom calls her up and tells her that nobody believes she's actually going to leave Phoenix anymore.
(She's like a video game antagonist who hacks your comms to tell you that the plot is progressing.)
1777834297568.png
1777834316313.png
1777834324888.png
Aster thinks the hotel is still randomly charging her.
1777834372124.png
1777834353318.png
Another ER trip.
1777834433065.png
Her temp reads as 99.5 while she's there. Maybe they'll believe her this time.
1777834452021.png
She bleeds after getting her blood drawn.
1777835205016.png
Aster fights the temptation to lay down on the hospital floor.
1777834512391.png
1777834497929.png
Aster waits around in the hospital. The person Aster is supposed to be staying with puts in their 1 month notice on their lease. They tell Aster she should still be able to stay, though.
1777834543039.png
Aster wants to die.
1777834621251.png
1777834576825.png
Aster's mom texts her. She says that she gives up trying to be a parent to her.
The texts are heart-wrenching.

1777834854132.png
Aster waits for her test results to decide her fate.

1777835446923.png
Aster wants to cut contact with both her mom and Sunny.
1777835491810.png
The next day, she resumes her normal daily life and Ubers to the laundromat. Her driver tells her that a woman recently self-immolated in the hotel she's staying at.
1777835566915.png
1777835587506.png
Aster hears that her urine culture grew another superbug, but the count is low.
1777835639784.png
1777835653468.png
Her urologist doesn't want to treat it.
1777835673333.png
But the hospital prescribes her something. Aster says she can't take it because of her EDS.
1777835723981.png
Aster pays for more nights at the hotel. She's back at $0/375 for flight fees.
1777835769172.png
A few days after her previous ER visit, Aster throws up "literally everywhere" while trying to clean up her "disgusting" hotel room. She goes back to the ER.
(She's also not letting room service into her room during her stay.)
1777835907305.png
1777835900889.png
She goes to a different hospital so she can get another culture.
1777835949325.png
Her doctor agrees to do what Aster wants. Therefore, she is a good doctor.
1777835968840.png
Aster gets admitted.
1777835985123.png
She's looking a little rough.
1777836148979.png
Aster and her mom get into an argument over the anitbiotic that Monique is taking. Aster thinks it isn't EDS-safe.

1777836063368.png
1777836104514.png
Aster gets discharged on IV antibiotics. She'll have to stay in Arizona for another 14 days. This will cost about $1000.
1777836130916.png
1777836304391.png
Another Klarna payment declines.
1777836370018.png
Aster asks for $30 for a smoothie and some soda.
1777836356815.png
She gets it. The smoothie slaps.
1777836399306.png
Aster is feeling better.
1777836452983.png
She posts some more documents as proof.
1777836470108.png
1777836538291.png
1777836476907.jpeg
1777836482800.jpeg
Aster kind of wants an elastometric IV pump.
1777836758714.png
1777836773752.png
Aster also wants a Nintendo Switch.
1777836864152.png
And she wants to spend $60 to get the sides of her head shaved.
1777836946758.png
Aster briefly tries and fails to go on a self-prescribed all liquid diet.
1777836997243.png
1777836984254.png
Aster also wants $30 for a lunch treat.
1777837022915.png
She gets the haircut and asks if someone can buy her masks.
1777837153310.png
1777837047732.png
More money down the drain.
1777837186803.png
1777837193307.png
1777837222587.png
And more surprise regularly occurring monthly charges.
1777837253047.png
Aster has a genius idea: Use Klarna to pay for her hotel.
1777837281149.png
Aster has given up on even trying to get on disability.
1777837305222.png
Aster calls the pharmacy. She thinks she's allergic to her antibiotic, but she really really hopes she's not.
1777837387938.png
She goes to the hospital.
1777837486992.png
And feels seizure-y
1777837495645.png
The shit-ass doctor thinks she fine. Aster is mad.
1777837371058.png
1777837531618.png
Aster needs to order a couple of pajama sets online.
1777837667883.png
Aster's friend buys her a portable, foldable, mini washing machine. It's literally lifesaving.
1777837622760.png
1777837639811.png
Aster keeps missing the (probably free) hotel breakfasts.
1777837697019.png
Aster has been feeling she/her pronouns.
1777837729369.png
Piss spilled everywhere count: 22
1777837753402.png
Aster needs benadryl for her anaphylactic reaction to IV antibiotics. Her finances are spiraling out of control.
1777837815711.png
Aster just can't get any help at all, despite jumping through so many hoops. (She has only applied for disability once, like 4 or 5 years ago now.)
1777837911383.png
1777837883285.png
She complains about her mom.
1777837897982.png
Aster switches to a new sad alter and feels down. This sad alter has been fronting a lot, lately.
1777838204160.png
1777838217018.png
She starts to reconsider going to Oregon. (Turns out, the EDS doctors are all slammed, because Tumblr and spoonie culture are super popular there.)
1777838403840.png
1777838418007.png
Aster thinks that without a urostomy, she'll continue her downward health spiral.
1777838294926.png
1777838445398.png
Aster posts in the Oregon EDS group. They tell her that the waitlists are crazy.
1777838783639.png
1777838746618.png
It seems like Aster is giving up on going to go to Oregon.
1777838867242.png
She starts looking for apartments.
1777839217677.png
Her friends encourage her. One of them tells her to gets her cat registered as an emotional support animal so she can't be charged pet rent.
1777839343409.png
1777839331955.png
She wonders if she could lie about her mom being an imminent threat and stay at a DV shelter again.
1777838932626.png
Then she picks up some packages from her mom. She hopes her mom finally gives her that laptop she's been promising her.
1777838966390.png
Aster doesn't even have enough for the application fees.
1777839196630.png
Aster has a fever.
1777838495778.png
And she has blood chunks in her urine.
1777838509827.png
Aster asks her mom to cosign for an apartment for her.
1777839450332.png
Aster's mom instead suggests a conservatorship or guardianship. Aster freaks out.
1777839587394.png
1777839602694.png
Later, Aster gloats about being right about scaring her mom about taking her antibiotic because her mom experiences achilles tendon pain.
1777839690127.png
Aster can't think of any jobs to do. Well, she can, but they wouldn't pay well. So why bother.
1777839752206.png
Aster is keyed up on steroids. She thinks they triggered hypomania.
1777839777279.png
Aster successfully sells her flight credit.
1777839803877.png
1777839808964.png
Aster takes half a leftover risperidone so she can sleep.
1777839865619.png
Aster maybe gets banned from Venmo
1777839920240.png
It gets resolved.
1777840025022.png
She's not having much success cleaning piss off the carpet. This is probably from her previous two spills.
1777839948886.png
Aster goes in for an MRI
1777840039123.png
Another $20 smoothie.
1777840081148.png
Aster thinks she's gonna get sent to the ER for pus and pain at her suprapubic catheter site.
1777840186939.png
1777840195494.png
The nurse line tells her to just monitor it. Aster still wants the $20, but for delivery tylenol, now.
1777840258954.png
1777840243755.png
She doesn't really feel supported by her friends and followers. She apparently has a hotel payment in 10 hours.
1777840303919.png
Aster lies about a telemed appointment to her nursing company so that they don't come earlier than she expected.
1777840369355.png
1777840376194.png
Aster spends some time cleaning up before the nurse comes.
1777840596488.png
The nurse still thinks it's filthy.
1777840588254.png
1777840631182.png
And the nurse thinks her port looks fine.
1777840650285.png
Aster thinks that the flavor of potatoes changed a few years ago. Now, most of them (except baked potato insides) taste a little like dirt.
1777840725399.png
More health troubles
1777840995996.png
We learn that Aster did indeed get an elastometric IV pump. Probably through insurance. Poking around, it seems like they're around $400 without it.
1777841109759.png
1777841318654.png
Aster deserves to know whether or not her followers are white or nonblack so that she knows if they're a threat or not.
1777841419090.png
Aster goes in for her urosurgery consultation at the cancer institute.
1777841608748.png
1777841581963.png
1777841626552.png
She won't be able to get the surgery until March or April.
1777841594627.png
1777841649929.png
Aster is mad that she still hasn't gotten that spare laptop from her bitch mom.
1777841711088.png
She posts the details of her urosurgery consultation. There are a lot of risks, and it could kill her. But it's her only choice.
She dismisses the danger of infection, saying that she already has infections all the time anyways.
It could reduce her intestinal motility further, and Aster doesn't want it to get worse, but she's familiar with the risk, so it's OK if it happens.
It's permanent. But Aster already needs some permanent solution to her urinary problems, so that's fine.

I'm pretty sure this is her doctor: Dr. George Kallingal, MD
1777858199688.png
1777858265461.png
- Associated with the Army
- Does robot-assisted surgery
- Cancer urosurgeon that also does non-cancer operations
- The only urologist at the Dignity Health Cancer Institute, which is in a Phoenix hospital. (The only other "cancer institute" in the area is "Phoenix Cancer Institute", but they seem like a small organization that doesn't have surgeons.)

Aster feels discouraged by unsolicited advice she received about removing her bladder. (Aster deleted the comment right away, so we don't get to learn what it said. Probably something like "holy shit don't remove your bladder for no reason, jesus fucking christ.")

Aster binges on some snacks that she bought with food stamps.

1777842549686.png
Aster re-explains why she's worried about finding another apartment. The main reason is that she surrendered an apartment due to mold, and the remaining payments went to collections.
1777842464374.png
Aster goes to a homeless shelter to ask about resources.
1777842499278.png
They don't take her seriously. She wonders if they would have taken her more seriously if she had kept her port accessed.

More texts between Aster and her mom. It seems like Aster asked if she could move back in. Her mom tries to set some rules. The most important rule is that Aster can't post about her negative online, as it's effectively "witchcraft" and invites "mass curses" on Monique and Sunny.

But Aster finds out they probably don't take medicaid anyways.
1777843342836.png
Aster makes a joke: "got my suprapubic catheter placed at claire's". It gets very few notes. She repeats it over and over ad nauseum for the next two years.

Aster has had a bit of trouble trying to get her MRIs done. There's just problem after problem.
1777844207761.png
She does the "Trauma Candy Salad" TikTok trend, but adds a twist where she also goes through her medications.
Lamictal for unstable moods.
Hydroxyzine for anxiety, but it doesn't help with that, but she takes it anyways for MCAS.
Montelukast and Cetirizine for the same reasons.
Electrolyte tablets, Nadolol, and IV fluids for dysautonomia.
Zofran, Senna-S, and Miralax for her GI system that has gone "kaput."
Catheter securements, leg bags, bed bags, a suprapubic catheter for bladder failure.
Oxybutinin, d-mannose, and methenamine for bladder issues.
Cyclobenzaprine for chronic joint pain (and currently bladder spasms).
Antibiotics for infections, and steroids so she doesn't go into anaphylaxis when she takes the antibiotics.

Aster lets us know that her bra size is technically 40j.

Aster sees a mom and her black child in the hotel lobby. Aster learns (or decides) that the child has autism, and her day is made.
1777844535426.png
Aster gets approved for the apartment! She screenshotted her bank statements to prove that she has sufficient income.
1777844780871.png
She needs the $300 deposit right away.
1777844820248.png
Aster thinks that applying for long term care made her lose access to medicaid.
1777844855646.png
But that wasn't the case. She's rescinding her long-term care application anyways for some reason.
1777845011832.png
Aster doesn't like when other munchies try to compete with her. It's NOT a competition, and also, her symptoms are worse, even though her vitals are better.
1777844911471.png
Aster doesn't pay for the hotel in time and has to pay yet another deposit.
1777844994858.png
Aster feels bad that she'll be confining her cat to a small apartment. She says she wishes she had trained Artemis to wear a harness so she could take him on walks.
1777845105668.png
Her friend chimes in. Their cat (who uses fae/faer pronouns), is fully harness trained, even though fae wasn't taken on walks until fae was around 1.5 years old.

Aster isn't online much for over 24 hours because she has a friend helping her move. This gives her empathy for people who aren't terminally online and don't respond to her messages as quickly as she would like.

Aster isn't getting her 6 hotel deposits back. She has spent over 2.5k on this hotel.
(This situation doesn't make any sense to me, and I've read dozens of her posts about it. LaQuinta isn't the most respectable institution, so maybe she really is getting fucked here. Or maybe she just doesn't understand how deposits work.)

Aster lies about her past experiences with mold a little. She claims mold has caused her to get "growths in lungs sick" in the past. (She had one tiny growth in her lung, it was not linked to mold, and professionals tested her room for mold, and the test came back negative.)

Aster uses ExtraSpace Storage in Phoenix, unit 3000.

It's time for her final autism evaluation.
1777857435243.png
1777857485462.png
She's diagnosed with level 2 autism. A true retard.
(Surely she wasn't diagnosed with moderate support needs because she constantly emphasizes how unable to support herself she is and has memorized every single symptom of autism.)
1777857455852.png
1777857462974.png
1777857499722.png
1777857506670.png
(Honestly, I'm a little surprised that this seems to be a new diagnosis. I was certain that she had actually been diagnosed with autism at some point, as she's mostly maintained that she was diagnosed with autism around age 20, sometimes implying that it happened earlier. I didn't think that Aster was in the habit of telling straight lies, just that she was very comfortable stretching the truth and self-deluding. But maybe I'm gullible.)
1777857470298.png
Aster posts about her new diagnosis on Facebook. They nitpick her word choices and piss her off.

Aster sees the urosurgeon. She's going to get a cystectomy (bladder removal) with ileal conduit (cutting up your intestine to make a tube from your ureters to your outsides) in April 2025.

Aster barely raises enough to pay her first month's rent on time.

Aster gets enough money for the plane tickets to Portland, but has a bad fight with her mom and stays in a hotel for a month and a half. This, going in and out of the hospital for suspected infections, and her terrible spending habits drain her savings over and over. She formally gives up on moving to Portland after she hears that Portland EDS specialists have very long waitlists.
Aster gets her urosurgery consult. She schedules a urostomy (cystectomy w/ ileal conduit) for April 2025.
Aster is diagnosed with level 2 autism after a formal evaluation process.
Some poor idiot accepts Aster's application for an apartment. Aster is upset that it's moldy at first, but eventually decides to just deal with it.
Bonus: The event that makes THE GASH DFE.
THE GASH's blog got banned for this message at some point, but she makes another blog and refollows all the people she used to know.

Some MtFs get in a fight. "sakowin" and friends claim that goddess-athetos-unkillable is in possession of child porn and even sent it for some reason.
1777787358382.png
1777787583230.png
THE GASH is known to be friends with goddesss-athetos-unkillable and gets dragged into it.
She tries to concern troll by pretending to be offended that he dared to say the name of one of her sideblogs, "gookzipperhead."
1777787552862.png
She then compares socially ostracizing pedophiles to blood libel.
1777787642736.png
She's then chased off of Tumblr and she deletes everything and never returns.
Yes, that's it. But it's a whole thing and becomes a massive witchhunt. This friend group is all "pro paraphilia," which is a sphere of discourse I am blessed to not know much about, but basically, they try to destigmatize having weird fetishes, which includes pedophilia to varying degrees. A pro-paraphilia associate being exposed as a pedophile who has actual images of child sexual abuse makes other pro-paraphiles look bad. At least one of THE GASH's friends tries to evade the issue in a similarly retarded way.
1777787810566.png
1777787826092.png
This makes them look even worse, and THE GASH quits the website and doesn't come back, as far as I know.
She even stops fulfilling orders on her Etsy.

calories cannot enter your body without your consent, sorry but i fucking hate every little whiny fatty claiming their pills made them a fatass, bitch you were fat beforehand.

But on a side note I've been seeing a lot more PTs getting Metformin with their antipyschotics, which is apparently the new guideline to reduce metabolic syndrome.
She appears to have her tiktok locked down

that's coz ur not logged in and it thinks ur a bot, this interesting character has instead doubled down with double the proof she has TAD.

1777874804501.png 1777874835252.png

sooooo she took 2, 5mg doses of aripiprazole and presented to ED with spasms to her head, progressing downto her body, "all of it was crazy" you can see this best in the 2nd video, ED diagnosed her with acute dystonia, and give diphenhydramine, after discharge she saw a new neurologist who put her on deutetrabenazine, but i'm not too sure abt this "neurologist" who apparently quickly diagnosed her with TD, which is clearly a mistakes.

In summary, she has a history of taking lithium, and quetiapine and was just trialling the aripiprazole to replace her lithium when it "happened" but don't worry, the TAD only comes on later in the evening or when she's stressed/anxious which causes her blood pressure to spike and triggers the spasms, so she's fine to drive and live her best life unaffected unless theirs a camera rolling which is a well known symptom of TAD.

Ostatnio edytowane:
Aster is horrible and also hilarious. Her blood pressure barely leaves the normal range and she calls it "concerningly low." I also love that every time she has a "symptom" she runs to the ER and when they find nothing she privately threatens to not go in the next time so she can just die from an organ exploding or something but she never has followed through on that even once. Every time she mentions an issue, she sees a doctor without delay.

This is a big part of what I love about munchies like this, documenting every single thought they've ever had and every factitious malady they have makes it so easy to see this ridiculous pattern they fall into over and over. It's like a giant tapestry of histrionics and mental illness and the person creating it is too deluded to see it. Thank you so much for sharing these shenanigans and archiving them properly @Systems All The Way Down you are an angel!
