Same reason why I can’t stand the Zeroes (Nerdrotic, Geeks + Gamers, YoungRippa, HeelsVsBabyface, Critical Drinker, etc). They peacock like they’re badass culture warriors but anybody that fights or has fought in a war will tell you that, unless they’re complete psychopaths, the thing they want most is for the war to end. For The Zeroes, that’s the last thing they want. No, they’re culture profiteers. This is 100% correct. It’s the same garbage that derailed Gamergate back then. I’ve said it before in another thread, but never trust paid activists (in this case, youtubers like the Quartering). They have a vested interest in keeping things going and have no interest in solving the problem.
Agreed. Johnny was just a one term enlistee from the looks of everything so he wouldn’t get anything in terms of retirement pay since he wouldn’t have reached the required rank, and his disability pay, which wouldn’t surprise me he’s scamming to get, is a capped payment; he gets 80% which is a little over $2,000 every month, for life, so yeah, it’s “fun” money. The real money is in his rental property, something that, depending on how Texas divorce laws work, he could beat grave risk of having snatched from him and awarded to Melonie in the inevitable divorce. I don’t care how much money he makes, it doesn’t fix the fundamental problems of him being a serial cheater and her being a toxic narcissistic addict (to online attention and validation). Money will only magnify those issues. I really can’t wait for the divorce; it’ll be messy, public, and oh so fun to watch.Depends. I'm going to wager he probably makes more money from the rental property in SoCal.
Military benefits are rather nice but the actual "I can retire for the rest of my life" sorta money truly comes from a 15+ year commitment, and moving your way up the ranks (if he was a CDR or around there he wasn't making a lot of money, even engineers aren't part of that officer tier which is the actual pay is in career military). Plus benefits and pay compound with time, if you do a 3 year stint and then leave with any form of disability, you're not looking at a lot of money honestly. This is entirely contingent on his military career though which I have no knowledge of. Like I said he probably gets more money from the rental property and the military bene check each month is maybe like monthly "fun" money, but hardly anything to live off of.
