China also forbids independent unions, so the Chinese people cannot actually go on strike to demand better conditions without getting Tiananmen'd. China will suffer economic lethargy.
this is my reasoning for believing that before this is happening to them openly (as in, in a way they can't hide with white monkey foreign propagandists) that they will push hard for an open war with some country or another, to increase patriotic spirit and 'unity' when in actuality it would be an excuse to early-draft people with a 'hot war' and start breaking them down before taiwan.
