The attacks on the gulf countries are the master strategy because they know the gulf countries can't defend themselves and they're also extremely vulnerable for many reason - so Iran can just launch a few drones on major Gulf cities and then they know that those countries are going to put huge pressure on the US to stop attacking Iran.

I'm surprised at how anemic the strikes have been so far - Iran is fighting a war for survival, I expected nothing less than the mass bombardment of civilians in order to exert maximal pressure on the Gulf, but they aren't killing anywhere near enough civilians for that to work. I wonder if this is because the Iranian high command is still in disarray from yesterday's assassination strikes, or if Iran has been weakened so much by the 12 day war that they are unable to mount a more effective response.

There are Gulf states aligned with Iran. Well, state, singular: Qatar. The Saudis and the rest of GCC + Others were trying to buckbreak Qatar economically for supporting the Muslim Brotherhood, this went on for 4 years before the Saudis gave up since Turkey and Iran bailed Qatar out. There's like a 85% probability that Iran told Qatar they were gonna shoot some rockets at them during the 12 day war for PR reasons.
