To think, it's 7:30AM right now in New Delhi. Some young, brave intern looking to earn all the izzat and, therefore, all the bobs and vagene, just finished making his changes to the site. He pushes it and, since he's Indian and therefore incapable of incompetency, fucks over Youtube during prime-time American hours. Sorry Patel, you're going to have to go back to the scam center for that!

I tried playing a YT vid on my toaster with a browser from 5 years ago. Just 5 years old, and yet the video crashed that tab while loading (it played the first few seconds), while the computer fan made a jet engine sound. Just 5 years ago it would've worked fine, and a browser that's a decade old now would likely have run something new just fine 5 years ago. Bloatware and inefficient programming seems to be getting exponentially worse now. Oh yeah, and frontends don't work because that "bot check" BS won't even run.

Use invidious or some other alternative, there is zero reason to watch from youtube directly at this point. Download the videos if need be.
 
Does anyone have any form of unofficial Youtube client working on Kodi? I've tried Invidious without success, including a couple different servers.

I understand the game itself is SNCA and the more obscure the thing is, the worse the result but 1. I have literally done this hundreds of times before and used to get good results and 2, realistically speaking, the search shouldn't completely break the moment you select recently uploaded.

I get that globally most users are borderline retarded these days, but most people with a triple digit IQ want to selectively watch things, they don't want whatever diseased random content is lurking on a server. This will backfire sooner or later, even normies have been noticing for years that the modern internet is a burnt out husk of what it once was.

I've been watching a live stream for nearly an hour now and notice that the "started streaming X ago" is still the same as when I first clicked on it, when it used to update in real time so that means some update broke it. How did the jeets fuck up something that's already properly implemented? (This is a rhetorical question; the answer is because they're jeets)

Yea the cookies trick on yt-dlp doesn't even work anymore for them because even if you bypass the cookies, youtube still asks you to upload your ID to verify yourself.

You could probably try IP spoofing with a VPN to reset it but i have a feeling that wouldn't do anything considering YouTube just straight-up shits the bed if you use a VPN, ESPECIALLY anything TOR related.

I have been using vpn when using yt-dlp with no issues. In fact it's pretty much mandatory since they will throttle after downloading for 20-30 mins using the same ip. Haven't tried downloading age restricted content though.
