Youtube General thread (formerly Youtube Censorship discussion thread)

It truly amazes me just how shockingly fucking bad they messed up the search for smaller media. To demonstrate, let me use an example of a gachaslop with the search sentance, "one piece treasure cruise grand voyage." I want to look up the latest teams for a game mode but they removed the most recent option.

It turns out, it needs to be selected here, simple right?

Well know because THE RESULTS ARE JUST 1 FOR THE ACTUAL MODE AND ANOTHER FOR A DIFFERENT MODE ON THE SAME GAME AND THE REST IS FUCKING GOOK AND JEET AI SLOP.

I then scroll and it just ends with "No more results text" so I then change my search to one piece treasure cruise gv AND THE RESULTS ARE EVEN WORSE."

I understand the game itself is SNCA and the more obscure the thing is, the worse the result but 1. I have literally done this hundreds of times before and used to get good results and 2, realistically speaking, the search shouldn't completely break the moment you select recently uploaded.

The "Error 153" crap is still ongoing with embeds (at least for me in Firefox on Not Windows), and it still seems the only "answers" are from Indians claiming that "clicking the 3 dots" and "clearing the cache" in "Google Chrome" is how to fix it. Maybe there's a solution in about:config somewhere to bypass the BS? YT really has gone to crap now.

Try to use Boolean operators (AND, OR, quotation marks, etc.) as much as possible. It makes the results a lot more specific.

"This content isn't available, try again later."
Have to refresh almost every video to get them working now on my Chromium browser
Finally happened to me in Brave today.

Meanwhile the other day in FreeTube, I was trying to watch a video and an error got thrown up about me using a VPN. I had to switch cities to get the video to start.

Jeets can't be exterminated quickly enough.

I am not sure if it was a fuck up on YT's end or intentional but when i clicked on "Subscriptions" yesterday i had the content i am subscribed to sorted by "Most relevant" with dates of videos uploaded completely unsorted instead of the normal way where it was sorted via upload date, with no way of putting it back to displaying subscribed content by chronological order. I checked just now and it is back to saying "Latest" and sorted as usual, wish i took a screenshot of this shit yesterday.

Edit: In more uplifting news, i finally got around to adding "Sponsor Block" to FF (don't even know why i didn't the second i first heard of it, which was quite a long time ago) and it is magic. Seamless transitions and there's so much stuff to configure it to your liking in the Sponsor Block UI, fantastic add-on.

fucking pajeets, they are all relevant. That is why I subscribed to the channels. I do not want you to group 6 videos from the past year that I have already seen and a live stream from 8 months ago above videos posted within the last 12 hours. Stupid fucking shitskins
That is exactly how it looked for me yesterday but it reverted back to being normal without me fucking around with uBlock or other add-ons. Who even comes up with this shit (i do know the answer is always "jeets")? I know what is relevant for me, you dumb motherfuckers, that is why i am subscribed to the handful of content creators that i watch. Absolutely retarded. Equally as retarded as putting videos in my non-subscriptions feed that i watched years ago, there's regularly stuff in there so old that i can't even remember watching it but the full bar under the thumbnail shows me i did at one time. Pretty telling about how the jeet mind and memory works if you ask me.

I hate to say it but I was able recently to use the 'Ask' button underneath a video (which I assume uses Gemini under the hood) to find a specific moment in a long, non-timestamped video. I was impressed.

But this is really me being impressed with AI voice recognition in general, not my throwing a bone to Google or Gemini in particular. I still have a candlelit Nasim shrine in the corner of my bedroom.

Looks like on a version of Firefox which is just about 5 years old on a toaster, Invidious does not work. That stupid "checking you're not a bot" BS is incompatible with it.

And of course YouTube embeds also don't work: that "Error 153" BS is there as well. Used to be that if you had a 5 year old browser, the internet still worked fairly well...

I must have solved this thing like 10 times and it still doesn't load the video when I do.

They REALLY seem to hate VPN/TOR users.

Same with X. The moment you post your first message, they "detect suspicious traffic" and make you solve endless captchas. A simple "your IP is on our shitlist" would suffice.
It feels like every fucking site is doing this and is only getting more aggressive. My schizo theory is that Google is clamping down on legitimate traffic on purpose so they can gather more raw data to train their AIs. Most captchas have been for driverless cars but who knows what other satanic projects they are developing deep underground far from the prying eyes of the public.

TBH you shouldn't use NewPipe, it's made by fags who refuse to integrate Sponsor Block.
Install GrayJay.

Imagine having the freedom to watch whatever you want, wherever you want. You might inadvertently watch something made by an evil hecking Nazi!!!
>Thread Locked, shut. it. down.
Bravepipe chads stay winning. BP fully integrates Rumble and BitChute for the 5 people that use it.
Grayjay has been on my list of apps to try since google sent a lawyer hit squad to the Vanced devs doorstep. I haven't gotten around to trying ReVanced yet but I might do when I eventually have to upgrade my phone.

I'm guessing this whole "Video is not available" bullshit is YouTube's next push against adblockers, seeing as my videos play just fine with Brave's shields down. Every day I find a new reason to hate Jeets.

I've had luck after logging out and clearing all YT cookies. uBO is aware of the problem and hopefully will fix it soon.
