There is long term implications there. If we hold majority in Congress, then Congress can just pass bills that include the Tariffs Trump wants.
The GOP would perhaps need a pretty good majority to attempt that. Republicans control Congress right now but either through inaction or lack of anything more then a narrow edge over the Democrats in terms of voting power, they don't really seem to do as much as they could.

My thoughts are that Trump isn't a strong enough leader for the situation we're in. He's been given several once in a lifetime opportunities to crush the libtards and just refuses to act each time. His failure to act in response to Charlie Kirk's murder has proven to the left that they can basically defame a person until a crazy goes out and murders them with impunity.

He's the ultimate boomer president, he cares mostly about line go up for his fellow elderly, even if it means the actual working young citizens of America get fucked.

But if Kamala won she'd have finished what Biden started by opening the borders, shipping them to red states, give them voting rights, and ensure a Democrat permanent super majority and the full South Africanization of America.

Trump as president is better than America fully becoming a brown 3rd world ghetto, but someone better needs to come along immediately after or we're fucked.

The SCOTUS just issued a ruling that has big implications on the US economy...

QUICK! LETS HAVE A SLAPFIGHT BETWEEN HOGAN AND PINK TRIANGLES!
even i, notorious bait-taker, didn't fall for the hulkster's fishing rod. and I love taking bait.

No it means blumpf can continue the tarrifs but in a very slightly more orthodox manner than before.

I freaked out too early but after reading the actual text is seems this is basically a nothing ruling.

Redditors will wet their xxxxxxl Hello Kitty panties though.
but that's not doom speak, and doesn't excuse me arguing with a retard who exists purely to bait us all.

Can you elaborate on how the ruling did that?
trump has to redo his tariffs. much like a jrpg, this is equivalent to trump losing 10 hours of grinding. he will now quit the game forever in a tantrum.

Not really.

The ruling is "you used the wrong statute for a lot of your tarrifs, you actually had to use these statutes. Also no refunds lmao."
kavanaugh writing a walkthrough on how to do it correctly had me cackling.

RINOs……

Not the worst ruling. Basically, you can't impose tariffs unilaterally even under emergency powers, you have to go through congress. It's not a knock on policy just on procedure. It takes some of Trump's leverage in negotiations but that's about it. It's highly unlikely that any money will have to be paid back unless entities sue for them and win.

Administration could theoritically reapply most of it, as Kavanaugh said in his dissent, under those codes.

I am sure Bessent was ready for this.
Bessent seems like he's the type of guy to be 3 or 4 steps ahead, and they had to expect that SCOTUS would strike it down. The repayment aspect is the only one that concerns me a little bit.

So Doomers are faggots and this is a nothing burger?
His descent is more like a theoretical framework. Actually getting the other supremes onboard would be another story, regardless of whether or not one things the policy is worthwhile. Its essentially presidential 'fan service'; You could see the other framing with citizens united back in the day(2009 - 2010), on the other side; Spoiler, it was telegraphed for months, and the descents from multiple justices meant dick. Same shoe different foot? I guess in citizens united it was hitting the gas, and now is more of a pump the breaks moment.

At this point, Trump dying or stepping down would be a lot better for us. He's a 90s democrat trying to be based.

So what would it take for you to stop loving Trump unconditionally?
I could appreciate it if the democrats would stop trying to exterminate my race and eliminate my country. If they provide a candidate that follows that doctrine, I’d be happy to hear what they have to say.
