Judging by that banner the other guy posted and this desaturated look I'm certain it's trying to ape off Kid icarus' 3ds reboot that used Smash bros. brawl's signature slightly desaturated look. It's crazy how badly you can fuck up the things that make these old games pretty in the first place. Did a dog make this? It's so desaturated it may as well be in greyscale. except for the sky, which just looks like a ripoff of the OoT skybox.

I miss when demake games were just made out of passion and curiosity of "what if this game was on an older console what would that look like?" like all the megaman demakes I remember seeing over a decade back now where they'd completely redo a game to be like the NES games. For some reason it all wraps back around to megaman. Megaman 9 and 10 specifically cashed in on that kind of thing/sparked it's popularity further by literally being official sequels styles like the NES ones.I always find it amusing when these demake games are very obviously trying to pander to a tranny audience, get loads of Xitter buzz & controversy, and then release to a grand total of 10 active players

If it "never got the greenlight in the first place" capcom wouldn't have done an ENTIRE FUCKING ELABORATE MARKETING CAMPAIGN COMPLETE WITH "FAN VOTES" FOR ELEMENTS IN THE FINAL GAME. THEY WOULD NOT HAVE ANNOUNCED THE GAME AND COVERED IT IN NINTENDO DIRECTS AND PUT OUT THE DEMO IN JAPAN IF THERE WAS NOT AN OK. THAT KIND OF THING DOES NOT OCCUR IF A COMPANY DOESN'T KNOW IT'S DEVS ARE WORKING ON A MASSIVE PROJECT.I can't find it right now but the gist is that it probably never got the green light in the first place. i was gonna elaborate since Spyro is one of my tism games lol and i thought on it a bit more thanks for posting this. The problem with that game and people can see from these two screenshots is that even from just stills you can tell where everything is and what you can do i Spyro. It's colorful without being overbearing so from a distance you can see where things are and there isn't anything loud and abrasive in terms of the palette. The other game is so depressing and desaturated and I can see a castle but there's no enthusiasm whatsoever. The tiling of that texture does not look good at all, in my opinion. I'm pretty sure in the time periods these games usually try to evoke they'd have used some brushes to break it up a little instead of letting it tile vertically like zebra stripes, or used a texture that's more uniform vertically (or smaller areas, too). Unless it was one of those maps made by teenagers as "first map ever" that were made just for fun with huge boxes with the same texture everywhere and such things. But those weren't trying to sell me anything.
