I haven't wanted to bring this up because it makes me extremely depressed, but my family's dog (who I was really close to because I raised her while unemployed and living at home) went through chemo a few years ago. It seemed to go fine during the treatment, but about a month and a half after the last session, her condition completely collapsed and we had to put her down within a week.

I've been dreading this same outcome for Fiona, and as much as I despise the Jomhas, I don't want Anisa and I to experience the same thing even though Ian making fun of Fiona's diaper filled me with homicidal rage. So I still have a very bad feeling about Fiona's health and can't celebrate just yet, but I hope the outcome is better than what my family went through.

Poking around with an LLM, it says the dog chemo occurs for a predermined amount of time and ends on a predetermined date. It doesn't automatically mean that the dog is fine.

However, with that said, it does specify that the therapy likely would have been stopped if it was not effective.

So it's a mixed bag.

BIGGEST UPDATE FIRST!!!! - Fiona is done chemo and she is in remission which is amazing news. The vet team was amazing and they gave her such a nice completion ceremony. We are wishing for many many day ahead with her happy and healthy.

- My hair is still growing and I have no plans to cut it I’ve decided. I’m back in the gym and I’m already feeling good about my new lifting plan.
- I’ve been enjoying volunteering in my community and have made many connections including my first ever DnD group (pictured with the doodles above)
- Amyl is doing amazing. I just added a few more plants to her tank and am excited to report she’s eating every night now and even hunts her crickets. You can see her clinging to my hoodie in the photo dump.
- still cooking a lot but haven’t been baking as much which I really want to get back into.

My big priority though, is working on the bioactive climbing wall for bijous 6 ft enclosure I purchased. I’m so excited to upgrade him and will keep you posted.
