Rowan even said as much back in the beginning. She likely knew her texts with TT don't show shit. She calls it "rape time" in texts and TT says, "uh excuse me, it's ackshually very consensual adult intercourse, thank you." As if he's opposed to even joking about rape. Wow! Looks like a upstanding citizen dealing with a sex-crazed degen whore! Yet don't we have a recording of him saying to Katie something about "rape time." Or some version of that. So we know that, in person/calls he doesn't think are recorded, he had no issue with this wording. But in texts, he has to correct the narrative so he sounds sane and she's left looking like a lunatic. Just in case they ever leak. And I think that's a bit telling.
This is just standard procedure for these commentary fags.
Anyone that's watched way to many of their videos (like I admittedly have), will tell you they all expect at some point that someone is going to snake them, and drop anything they have. Because that exact thing has happened repeatedly within their group. They record each other on calls secretly. Drop texts, all of this. And even the ones that haven't taken part in that themselves, have watched their buddies do this, or have it done to them. It's also a well known thing that they discuss all of this stuff with each other behind the scenes. All of them deny it, or play that off as a joke, or like it's absurd. But they definitely do.
Even if it wasn't for that, almost all of what they cover on their channels are situations just like the one that happened here. Some bpd whore comes out, drops texts, calls, makes some accusations and they meticulously go over all of it. And either defend the person being accused, or they agree, "yep she definitely got raped".
My point is, there is no way he didn't have any of that in mind while he was texting her. You're absolutely right when you say they came off like a PR response. They were him making sure to make himself come off as clean as possible in the case they got dropped. It's damn near like he's trained his whole life to respond to allegations like this (considering he's had his youtube channel talking about this stuff since he was a teenager).
The other thing i'll mention, is the way these people handle allegations they want to sweep up. I've mentioned it in the mati thread, but it's pretty relevant here.
When they want to cover for someone, they don't need to completely disprove all the allegations that were made (as you can see from his response). They just need to make the accuser seem unreliable. There are a lot of situations where I've seen commentary youtubers completely brush off allegations someone made after finding a hole in a certain part of the story. Once there is a hole in it, they focus on that. Then call into question everything else. But most importantly they try to discredit the character of the person making them because if you can't trust the accuser you can't trust the accusations.
You can even find most of these guys going over responses to rape/sa/sex pest allegations. Then saying how they think the accused should have handled the response video. These are all things all of these guys have thought about extensively. And there are hours and hours of video of them talking about it.
To be clear, I'm not saying Rowan isn't a lying BPD whore, I thought she was lying about a few things from the start (or some things felt off, obviously the match screenshot, some of the messages with her family/friend implied she already knew who tom was, also the recording of him on the phone came off as suspect to me). But I do think people should keep in mind that this is damn near his area of expertise, so it's probably worth considering. Either way Rowan isn't coming out of this looking good.
