To summarize, the interviewer asked Reggie Fils-Aime about Far Cry 5 featuring a Christian cult as the enemy. Reggie responds, "We really don't want to bring politics into our games, we want to keep it fun."

Tumblr, on the other hand... during their nut-fest of making thousands of Pauline and Peach lesbian fanart, saw the screenshot above and took the chance to bash the Nintendo they loved 7 seconds ago for not meeting their SJW expectations.

I've seen other posts of them suddenly being racist towards Japanese people, I have to look a bit deeper.

I don't want to ruminate on the state of politics while I stomp goombas, neither do a lot of people, they just want to have fun stomping goombas.

Besides, I usually play games to ESCAPE the vicissitudes of daily life and forget IRL garbage for a little while.

I would bet quite a lot of money the vast majority of "normies" would agree.
 
Between that and Mariachi Mario I'm surprised they're not saying that Ninty is guilty of literal PoC murder.

I'm a bit disappointed that there does not seem to be a thread about this on /r/gamerghazi (yet.) But I still have hope. :optimistic:
 
I have never understood why people need to inset their beliefs into games in the first place. There is no game with a nearly 40 female character that has bitching as a super power, but I am not crying about it and demanding they make changes for me.

1. This isn't Mass Effect. Or Saints Row IV for that matter.

2. Linkle from Hyrule Warriors. Also the fact Zelda has been a fucking badass in like, every title she's been in since Ocarina of Time when she was a fucking ninja. Also technically portions of Breath of the Wild where you have to dress in drag.

3. Super Mario RPG, Super Mario Galaxy (Roslina commands the fucking stars after all), Paper Mario: TTYD (she does some black ops shit in the moon base), Super Paper Mario, Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam (Toadette is the one who constructs all the super-huge cardboard models...one of which is Peach), and of course the Cardinal Sin invoked here: they forgot Super Mario World 2 where she's a playable character by default.

The amusing thing about them whining about not having gays in the game only shows how ignorant they are about it. Normal gay people don't call attention to the fact they are gay.

I love how these fuckheads forget certain parts of history when it comes to Nintendo.

There are many cases of women being quite capable in Nintendo games such as Princess Peach in Mario Bros two and Samus being a fucking woman.
 
Someone should tell the adults who want politics in Nintendo that most of their games are meant for children who wouldn't understand anyway.

They should also be told to calm down lol
