What actual effect are they having on ICE operations? That's the only question that needs to be answered in a discussion about invoking the insurrection act. As far as I can tell, minimal hindrance to ICE operations. ICE is still getting around the city, ICE is still arresting illegals. Things are still going exactly as they need to be.

I still don’t think we need the Insurrection Act. Compare this to 2020 and 1992. Pretty much nothing. All of these state level officials need to be thrown in the slammer though.

Honestly this, as cathartic as visceral consequences for this would be looking at it from a more detached, sensible perspective there are basically two things that would have to happen to justify the Insurrection Act; active coordinated terrorist attacks (bombings or shootings) on ICE, or Walz doing something as retarded as ordering the MN State Police or National Guard to actively hinder ICE (at which point the MN NG would be instantly federalized). The latter is basically never actually going to happen but the left is whipping themselves into enough of a frenzy that I'm honestly surprised the former hasn't happened yet.

You're right, and it was said elsewhere by someone else in this thread over the past weekend as well. Trump and ICE are, by and large, not encumbered over all this. There's lots of pomp and pageantry and media drama but they're still doing their job. They could continue on the path they are now and simply investigate/prosecute/etc those involved similar to how Biden largely rounded up J6'ers without making a big scene about it.

Assuming Dem's don't escalate and start hunting ICE officers.
