Actually, I've seen white supremacists try to claim historical figures like Genghis Khan, Jesus and of course the Egyptian pharaohs were 'white' so yeah they're just as exceptional. There's even a trend of British Israelites who claim that the 'real Jews' were white Anlo-Saxons and the modern 'JEWS' are secret Khazars.

Yes, eventually. Everything dies out. Social trends tend to die out especially fast. I think we're changing to more open and inclusive, and that's a good thing, but... gays and lesbians are what? 1% of the population, trans less than that. And... most legitimately trans people aren't drama queens, at least I assume not. I suspect once being trans becomes too 'normal' or 'mainstream' we'll see the tumblarinas move on to something else. Remember otherkin, elves, psychic vampires and head mates? Sure they still exist but not nearly as much as they did years ago. Be thankful.
