Since when is our military a problem?
Since the cold war. The kenysians use it as an economic tool and it's considered a jobs program. You have retarded boomers who think it is a replacement for parenting and it teaches "discipline". In reality it's one of the worst aspects of the government and in some places is utterly devoid of accountability. If you think the ivy league grads are bad then you have NEVER encountered a ring knocker.
Right now Doge is the hot word, but 30 years ago BRAC was a big deal, and apparently there was one in 2005 but i was overseas for that. We are due for a new round of that. If Trump wanted to get his way, he would have announced a new round of BRAC and that would have put the fear of God into congress, because who do you think brings the jobs in during the era of offshoring? IF trump said "Great lakes illionis was a giant mistake and i am moving navy bootcamp to another state next to the ocean because i hate the mayor of chichago" The city of chichago would lynch the mayor, revoke their sanctuary city status, and drag every illegal out into the street and beat them like zoot suit riots 2.0. That's 4.6 billion in yearly taxpayer money going into that blue city. EVERY state would fight to keep their bases. I didn't ever broach the subject of adjacent support industries with the bases either.
Odds are, you have a job because of a military base near you. This ESPECIALLY applies to europeans. the MIC is NOT just in the US anymore you can get lost in your autism just trying to see how big it is. Siemans, Saint Gobain, Bosch etc etc all feed nato, and all feed the US military in some way. Those checks don't bounce and are immune to shut down.
The retardation of the left is something else. We didn't have an enlistment crisis because of "woke" that's just a buzzword that they used because it fooled the retarded. No we had an enlistment crisis because the military sucks, has always suck, and will always suck to work for. Senior leadership has been incompetent for a long time, and the good leaders were the exception not the rule. The Navy fired holly graff for cruelty, she was one of the most toxic people in history and only got to stay in because of a terrifying mix of diversity hiring and her daddy being a respected captain.
So Good news: Hegseth going after military leadership is a good thing. They deserve what they are getting. It was called the "obama purge" back when obama did it.
Bad news: The global economy, has signed a suicide pact with the US department of defense. It's why military spending is so high. So the global economy is in the hands of Hegseth. It's a rabbit hole more people need to go down just to really understand how bad things are. The Soviet Union handed the world over to the Worst capitalists in history because of the cold war. It gets even more terrifying if you look into Archer Daniels midland and their involvement with the soviet union.
