Disclaimer, not a canuck lawyer (also i'm not your fucking lawyer, this isn't legal advice). In the U.S. paywalled content wouldn't really be treated any different on a merits basis from ad-driven content where the defense is fair use. It would impact damages (lost profits, based on people who aren't patreon subscribers that saw the content for free; and unjust enrichment, for profits the Casino generated that they shouldn't have) and maybe play in to a willfulness analysis (which could 3x damages and result in attorneys fees for the copyright holder).

Basically, in the US if what they normally do is fair use, using paywalled content would presumably be treated the same from a merits (who wins who loses) perspective, but would hurt on damages (because if it wasnt fair use, they lost more money). But everything is gray because there's so little fair use caselaw, and little to no precedent.

But again, not a canuck.

I also feel like they don't fuck, so a pregnancy seems unlikely, even if it would be the best case scenario for them in the Ethan Klein wars.

ETA: actually on a damages analysis, unjust enrichment would be a remedy regardless of whether the content was paywalled, just to clarify. Also in the US there can be statutory damages which can override lesser amounts anyway.

Anisa had him go to the doctor multiple times until he was prescribed Adderall because she was convinced he has ADHD and the first doctor they went to disagreed. This is not a joke it actually happened. As an addendum, adderall is usually not the first drug they put you on for ADHD, it's a drug with abuse potential so they usually try several other drugs including non stimulants and less addicting stimulants first. Anisa went doctor shopping with him until he got Adderall. No idea what her plan was but he's truly zonked out. He might be on some mood altering drugs too.
