He basically says that he was pressured into pleaing guilty because he was afraid of losing (and its consequences) if it went to trial. He further argues that guilty people should be "let go" if the state doesn't have a strong enough case. It's just sour grapes on his end.

Nick has lost the "street cred" to legitimately complain about the government because it will always come across as sour grapes. There's never been any referral made about Rekieta related to his drug abuse and domestic abuse that has been thrown out or ignored, whatever the eventual outcome. There's always been enough for questioning him and his wife. He can't get around that fact no matter how often he says kids coming home equals not guilty on all counts.

It falls on Gabe for not picking a better host and not realizing that the audience is aware of most shit, but I blame Keanu for not really preparing either. @Friend of Dorothy Parker mentioned her being open or adaptable and honestly to use a vulgar term, Keanu was a dead fish when she wasn’t interrupting shit. Camelot and Xia are clowns and she can’t just say “it’s fucking gross that Nick and Camelot are putting Xia in a position where she’s saying she’ll masturbate to extremely creepy, pedoshit hentai”. That’s the proper response when you want to avoid calling one friend out. Instead she waffles and Gabe got pissed.

I think Gabe expected her to have some knowledge of who Rekieta is and her knowledge was “narcissist, LawTuber who did drugs while in a polycule with her former friend”. It forced him to explain more basic background than he needed to and he was already doing that.

I think he was pissed because she didn’t give him feed back before the show. She did not put out the Green M&Ms and like an idiot he went out on stage. He brought her numbers and money and she couldn’t even read off questions properly. He was high on his own supply, but I can see why he brought some stuff up.

The Sophie Long case he got emotional and as I understand it, it’s still not clear cut and the step-Dad has some allegations still floating. Gabe was right that Nick acted like a fucking retard about it though and probably should have been disciplined. As a lawyer he did something retarded.

The bigger thing Gabe could have brought up is how anytime Rekieta is wrong about something, he punts it and ignores it. Vic and number of shit he covered and advocated for are ignored by the time the next big thing comes up. That’s typical of any creator, but Nick tends to involve himself. He’s often never just a commentator and fundraiser. In both the Long case and Vic case he involved himself and ultimately caused harm.
