New theory-
Nick can't stream because April's always distracting him or trying to horn in frame. (She did this to Aaron, nearly sinking.... well, flat-lining, the STMS.) Him livestreaming while driving in the Mustang is a petty misdemeanor, and therefore it's probably petty to make a big deal about it (it was discussed at the time and then forgotten about until now), but the answer he just gave is an example of the typical evasive and dishonest answers that make him utterly insufferable to listen to.

If anything, it just proves this is how he reacts when someone confronts him with an inconvenient truth because there's evidence of him doing what he's being accused of.

I think Nick probably has narcissistic personality disorder, and a very very deep sense of shame and self-hatred. Possibly from being a closeted homosexual but it probably goes back all the way to childhood. He has no inner mechanism for validating himself, it all has to come from outside sources. Alcohol is great for making you forget you're a loser, and cocaine is even better.
Everything he does is basically to escape the feelings of being an unlovable failure. I'm sure anyone who's had to divorce a person with NPD can immediately recognize his reaction to the falling out with Aaron for what it is. Narcissists cannot handle anyone leaving them, it triggers their feelings of worthlessness, and then they try anything and everything to ruin the life of the person who made them feel that way. He won't stop with Aaron until he finds something/someone that makes him feel good enough that it distracts him from Aaron.
Heaven help Kayla if she ever tries to leave him. People like Nick view their spouse and children as their property. He'll go after her even worse than Aaron.
