Rekieta Media LLC is still a registered entity in Texas. But it's right to transact business in Texas is currently forfeited due to reports not being filed and fees not being paid.

The entity continues to exist, but it cannot use the texas courts to defend itself legally and its officers (i.e. Nick) are personally liable for all the debts of the entity. This is somewhat important in the Montagraph case in that the LLC (assuming Nick was actually using it) currently offers Nick no legal protection whatsoever.

Its also more evidence of how broke Nick is. Maintaining this particular LLC was of great benefit to him and keeping it current would have required very little money.

His apparent legal theory for how the Rekieta Media LLC would be a perfect litigation shield for him to defame people at will doesn't work since he can be sued in his personal capacity. My guess has always been that Randazza told him that was stupid and he eventually let it lapse because it no longer had any value to him.

His idea of putting that LLC in Texas was to avail himself of Texas's generous anti-SLAPP law if he ever got sued for defamation. However, he got sued for defamation and they just went straight for Nick. He couldn't fight to move it to Texas partly because he almost certainly didn't correctly set up this LLC to provide him any real protection.

I don't think he realized he could still be sued in his capacity as a person. It may have worked better if somebody had tried to sue him for something a guest said on his show, but he probably didn't set it up correctly anyway.

It would take something like Aaron completely fucking off and them having nothing to talk about anymore in order for that to happen.

Indeed, building off my last post, I think Nick is subconsciously aware of this, and is happy to keep going for the dopamine hit and asspats.

Quick explanation of drama:

Aaron Imholte of the Steel Toe Morning Show has been exposed as a liar and appears to have made himself persona non grata at his boxing gym following his USA Boxing temporary suspension with the owner of the gym screaming at the other members of the gym about how pissed off he is at Aaron.

A video from the gym shows Scott, the owner, confirming that Aaron failed his background check for coaching. Aaron had previously claimed that his alogs had sent emails with false allegations, prompting a suspension.

While Aaron had just claimed yesterday that he had started coaching again at the gym after talking to Scott:
...in the video Scott confirmed that he would not be coaching anymore due to failing his background check, saying "he really screwed himself" with his "defiance S-H-I-T", later screaming: "Aaron messed around with me? NO MORE!"

I'll stop short of saying that's outright projection because Aaron has his own issues, is trying to grift off this whole sorry ass thing (which has gotten really old at this point), and has indeed not been completely honest. There is perhaps a small grain of truth in what Nick is saying here.

Had it gone to trial, it would have have been proven beyond a reasonable doubt. He had drugs. He has kids. Both under the same roof. The child endangerment charge became a slam dunk as soon as the possession charge was one. Both happened the moment they raided his house and found both drugs and kids.

It was dropped, along with the weapons charge, in order to sweeten the plea deal, and get him to just plead guilty to the felony possession charge so as to avoid avoid a more costly trial. That's how plea deals and judicial economy works.

Many people predicted the misdemeanor changes were going away for that very reason. The prosecutor knew his pressure point and exploited it to get a guilty plea and allocution. Nick knows that the situation with the kids is the most damaging thing to his reputation.

Nick and Aaron became very good friends in a very short period of time before it all fell apart in a span of about 7 months. I would say similar personalities and traits is a reason for that.
