Prosecutors not making any deal offer at this stage is itself interesting. They may have twigged to the suspicion that they are being played by Baldo, and want to do a bit more digging.

That's my thinking, too. They may realise that there's a possibility they will have to drop all charges. If neither side is pushing for a deal, it's for a reason and most likely a reason which stands to benefit Aaron.

I doubt that they only "suspect" they're being played by Nick. I imagine they've known the revenge porn allegations were made out of spite from the start, but that doesn't mean Aaron didn't break the law. Nick's subsequent actions have made things messy, though.
