Lunacy here, but Rick recently retweeted this.
Yet people still use it and if this was about market value, the fat guy would be far far skinnier and holding up a child for their pocket change so they can pay for their crack addiction. I also wouldn't trust what Fidelity has to say about Twitter and their value. If you're an investor of them, well you're fucked.

He NEEDS there to be an alliance of powerful people of some renown against him, otherwise HE is the one that ruined his own life.
Yet it must be an incredibly small group, or he has to admit more than 2 or 3 people are laughing their asses off at him.

It's the liberal/revolutionary dichotomy brought to live - the other/enemy is both incredibly powerful and weak at the same time, infinitely smart and stupid, and so on.

It’s exactly the way Rick and the important people he follows talk about Trump. To them Trump is simultaneously a dumb fool, and also an evil mastermind.

These idiots don’t think they need to make sense.

That said, has anyone else ever seen 'child' used as an insult by anyone else?
Yeah actually, furfags are currently having a slapfight with new FA admin over diapers and are unironically childing each other and threatening violence like fatrick lmao

People make contradictorily "fluid" assessments all the time, it's not limited to Rick or talking about Trump. Umberto Eco called "the enemy is weak and strong at the same time" type of rhetoric a trait of fascism, but imo it's universal. The opposing sportsball team is strong (we need to take them seriously, and we're badasses if we beat them), but also a bunch of pussies (we can take them!). Etc.

Rick definitely sounds like a fascist based on Eco's definitions, though...
"The cult of tradition", characterized by cultural syncretism, even at the risk of internal contradiction. When all truth has already been revealed by tradition, no new learning can occur, only further interpretation and refinement.

"The rejection of modernism", which views the rationalistic development of Western culture since the Enlightenment as a descent into depravity. Eco distinguishes this from a rejection of superficial technological advancement, as many fascist regimes cite their industrial potency as proof of the vitality of their system.

"The cult of action for action's sake", which dictates that action is of value in itself and should be taken without intellectual reflection. This, says Eco, is connected with anti-intellectualism and irrationalism, and often manifests in attacks on modern culture and science.

"Disagreement is treason" – fascism devalues intellectual discourse and critical reasoning as barriers to action, as well as out of fear that such analysis will expose the contradictions embodied in a syncretistic faith.

"Fear of difference", which fascism seeks to exploit and exacerbate, often in the form of racism or an appeal against foreigners and immigrants.

"Appeal to a frustrated middle class", fearing economic pressure from the demands and aspirations of lower social groups.

"Obsession with a plot" and the hyping-up of an enemy threat. This often combines an appeal to xenophobia with a fear of disloyalty and sabotage from marginalized groups living within the society. Eco also cites Pat Robertson's book The New World Order as a prominent example of a plot obsession.

Fascist societies rhetorically cast their enemies as "at the same time too strong and too weak". On the one hand, fascists play up the power of certain disfavored elites to encourage in their followers a sense of grievance and humiliation. On the other hand, fascist leaders point to the decadence of those elites as proof of their ultimate feebleness in the face of an overwhelming popular will.

"Pacifism is trafficking with the enemy" because "life is permanent warfare" – there must always be an enemy to fight. Both fascist Germany under Hitler and Italy under Mussolini worked first to organize and clean up their respective countries and then build the war machines that they later intended to and did use, despite Germany being under restrictions of the Versailles treaty to not build a military force. This principle leads to a fundamental contradiction within fascism: the incompatibility of ultimate triumph with perpetual war.

"Contempt for the weak", which is uncomfortably married to a chauvinistic popular elitism, in which every member of society is superior to outsiders by virtue of belonging to the in-group. Eco sees in these attitudes the root of a deep tension in the fundamentally hierarchical structure of fascist polities, as they encourage leaders to despise their underlings, up to the ultimate leader, who holds the whole country in contempt for having allowed him to overtake it by force.

"Everybody is educated to become a hero", which leads to the embrace of a cult of death. As Eco observes, "[t]he Ur-Fascist hero is impatient to die. In his impatience, he more frequently sends other people to death."

"Machismo", which sublimates the difficult work of permanent war and heroism into the sexual sphere. Fascists thus hold "both disdain for women and intolerance and condemnation of nonstandard sexual habits, from chastity to homosexuality".

"Selective populism" – the people, conceived monolithically, have a common will, distinct from and superior to the viewpoint of any individual. As no mass of people can ever be truly unanimous, the leader holds himself out as the interpreter of the popular will (though truly he alone dictates it). Fascists use this concept to delegitimize democratic institutions they accuse of "no longer represent[ing] the voice of the people".

"Newspeak" – fascism employs and promotes an impoverished vocabulary in order to limit critical reasoning.

If I stop to think about it I feel bad for him in the "forgive them for they know not what they do" kinda sense. It can't be fun being pat and it must really not be fun lacking the requisite brain matter needed to course correct.
it's weird - besides the "we should all love each other in Christ" I mostly feel sorry for him because he's so stupid he can't even obtain his stupid ends because he is so stupid.

Like, I assume, he wants to be an author and a pundit, say. But his actions got him to a local maxima and he cannot see how shutting the fuck up for half a doggam second could further his goals.

yeah forgive the religious sperging but pat is legitimately someone who I think could be used as proof of orthodox eschatology, the whole idea that heaven and hell are states of the soul you can achieve on earth. Much like how many of the saints are the ones who reached the state of salvation on earth, pat is someone who has reached a state of hell and he put himself there, and continue to put himself there as long as he stays prideful. arrogant. wrathful. and gluttonous. At any point he could end this torment but he CHOOSES it every single day when he wakes up because he prefers exulting in his own deranged pride and delusions of grandeur, aka "not letting the idiots win", than the far more peaceful and logically sane choice of just being normal.

It really is - it's perhaps the best example of it I've seen IRL as the keeeeeeds say - how objectively his life is classic american middle class, but he turns it into a personal hell of his own making.

The outside things ARE happening, but you quickly realize how much of it is caused by him, if not directly.

Even just following Josh's first rule of swat club - never talk about swat club would cut him aggravation down to nothing in a mere month or two.

That's the secret of hell (as I've heard said - the door to hell is locked on the inside) - Hell is where you're suffering and you want to stay there, suffering.

The thing is, he almost had a life that any aspiring author would die for. He published books with a major company, owns a home, has a wife. Stability, decent income and a comfy life could have been his, but he is an abrasive cunt and pissed it all away.

Everything that has befallen our ole Rick is his own doing, he made this nightmare for himself and now he has to live with it.

Hell, he could have a come to Jesus moment at any time, stop sperging on Twitter, ignore the Pests, double down on his writing and mend his relationship with his daughter. We know he will do none of those things because he is an obstinate hog.

This is why we all love Patrick so much. There is no guilt in laughing at a man that not only always steps on rakes, but purposefully goes to Home Depot, buys their entire stock and happily spreads them in front of himself.

Yeah you know what else Canada doesn't have? 40 million blacks. Americans imported so many of them that they really need the guns for self-defense now. Talk about a self-own.
How odd, I remember when I went to school I had to not only do morning prayer but also sing Oh Canada.
This month
A fourteen year old shot up Tabor in 1999
School Daycare Shooting in 2013
The country also has the Conservative Party.
Fucking kill yourself you fake ass Canadian.

By the way, if they want to claim that we have no children being murdered, this terrorist killed a four month old girl
Mother charged with the death of her 5 year old son this month.
Notice how precise he has to get - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:School_shootings_in_Canada has some high school and college shootings.
Worst one is the 1989: L'Ecole Polytechnique, Montreal.
The Canadian government is literally brainwashing teenagers into requesting euthanasia. We'll see which death toll is higher in a decade.
Gangs in Toronto are getting little girls to stab people to death. One was a arrested and was released to wait for her trial only to stab another person.

He's so pompous and hateful that something like Norm/11 was inevitable. Even if he hadn't tweeted anything about Norm he would have childed the wrong person someday and come to wider attention, and everything would have played out exactly as it has.

The sheer amount of time he has invested in this is baffling to me, to the point I have seriously wondered if this is some art project. Or perhaps he is using a bot, or paying some jeets to do the task for him off of fiver. Something that would help me understand this man wasting year after year of his life arguing with his toilet etc. Nothing about him makes sense, you would think simple boredom would kick in, and he would move on to something else. The pests ease off at times because I think they are getting bored, and new ones show up and start again, because no one can keep up with him.

Maybe thats his long term goal in all of this. Keep going to the point that no one else is around any more to troll him. Just his fatness, standing alone, smirking in old age as he proclaims "I knew I would win in the end" to no one, as he has wasted his life on something pointless.
