Kamala will be the nominee because she has the most money of any democrat capable of running. Biden had 240 million in campaign funds; Kamala was cosigned to that fund. She can only cosign someone to that fund if that person is her vice president. She could step down and whoever gets picked for her veep gets the money but having another candidate drop out at this point would mean sure defeat and severely damage fund raising for all democrats going forward.

Kamala's victory hinges on just how many people still believe "anyone but Trump." The majority of people on reddit and twitter are radicals; they don't represent the average voter. The average voter has seen their cost of living skyrocket under the democrats. Nobody cares about diversity and abortion when hunger pangs twist their stomachs in knots.

I’m gonna sound like Alex Jones but I legit think they ran a coup on Joe. Here’s what I suspect we will find out to some degree or another (probably never confirmed fully.)

I understand the coup they ran on Trump with the FISA warrant so I’m cynical enough to imagine they would do this.

They threw everything at Biden get him to drop out. They tried to destroy his character (set him up with the debate, all the other character assassination.) Then Hunter and Jill put up a wall. The remaining avenue was to bribe them. I’m guessing they offered them pretty much anything.

But the issue to me fundamentally is you can’t offer something to the First Lady better than another term, and you can’t offer something to a father better than pardon power if he has a son whose past crimes are not fully understood and who may be entangled with things that lead to future crimes.

So where you end up is you have to reach deeper into the toolbox.

The way I think this goes is you realize that the way to finally get capitulation is to have the public believe for a news cycle that Biden has dropped out of his own accord, but hasn’t. In this scenario, it can’t be walked back (run it through.)

So to run this play you really just need two things: you need a way to distribute an ostensible resignation from a credible source, and you need the candidate to be maximally incapacitated to respond.

So, you flip the right comms people who can post to X and other social media.

Then (this is dark), you send people into the White House with COVID. This is where crimes may have occurred but it is basically a perfect crime.

Then, once the candidate tests positive, you do a dry run to see if your flipped comms people end up getting blowback for posting something the candidate would never allow. (“I’m sick”)

You also now leak fake stories to the press that the candidate is imminently going to drop out. You line up party leadership to agree that if Biden resigns they will line up the way you want.

If things look good, you wait until the day the candidate is maximally ill during the course of COVID and blast out a resignation. As long as you have a solid cycle where the candidate can’t even physically react, and his family knows that the game theory now is against them.

The public and even the party leadership is now set up entirely to accept the resignation, and many people who flipped have insane counterincentives to accept any claims by the candidate it was not intended.

And the candidate, of course, wakes up a day later, and realizes if they dispute the resignation they lose everything. Instead, they now take the deal, with the entire world already aligned on the new reality.
kino conspiracy theory, it's noticeably better written and more plausible than Disney+'s Star Wars Acolyte.

You know I listened to Trumps speech at the RNC. It was refreshing. All patriotism, how America is a great country and how we should strive to reach our potential.
You don't hear that from Democrats, its all how America is racist, how its bad, how White people are bad, all negative. They don't talk about how the country is great, how the people are great, and how we should put our nation first, its how wrong we are, how bad we are, how we're racist.
The democrats seem to hate America. They see the Constitution as an inconvemience.
I don't know how anyone who loves America could vote for the party that spends all its time talking about how bad it is and how its "built on racism" a party that can't even say what women are and wants Troons to be able to brainwash and castrate our kids.

I fucking hate politics, its two sets of assholes competing to see how much they can lie, and the Republican party is full of assholes too, but if picked to choose, I don't see how anyone who love their country could vote for a party that hates it.
I haven't heard a Patriotic democrat since fucking Kennedy, and he was a fucking whoremongering shit bag.
Both sides suck, but they've spent so.much effort trying to silence or kill Trump, I figure if the people I despise the most are so afraid of him they'll try to use the courts and when that fails bullets to stop him thats as good a reason to vote for him as anyone.

If you think virtue signalling white women aren't an electoral force... You've spend too much time outside of the USA.
TBF married white women who have children have a tendency to lean right. In fact, married women as a whole who aren't Shaniquas lean ever so slightly in favor of the right.

It's their unmarried peers (and also those of men) who are very heavily biased towards the left.

To state the obvious for those who need it: Yes, this doesn't prove that getting married makes you right-wing. But people who lean right are statistically more likely to be married.

Though............ A case can be made for people who are married and having children growing more conservative over time. I've absolutely seen this happen around me. I've seen people who used to hang around potheads later ostracize themselves from that group of friends once they started having kids, and then their priorities shift to more..... normal.... priorities.

In his interview with George Stephanopoulos, Joe Biden said it would take the Lord Almighty to get him to drop out. Joe Biden is a religious man who goes to mass most Sunday mornings. Apparently yesterday at mass, Biden had a chat with the Lord and the Lord said: "I'm sorry Joe. Time to go." So yesterday afternoon, Biden announced that he was dropping out of the presidential race. He also endorsed Kamala Harris for the Democratic nomination. Clearly he understood that a free-for-all at the convention would tear the party to shreds and wanted to prevent that.
One interesting aspect of a Harris-Trump race would be the cop vs. the crook angle
Also a point sure to come up over and over now is Trump's age. He is 78. Harris is 59
It is a reminder that Trump has absolutely no class. Never has, never will. He is no longer facing off against Biden, and so there was no need to kick the President while he's down.
Note that the calls for Biden to resign are, of course, meant to suggest he is currently incompetent and that, by extension, the Democrats are both incompetent and are corrupt traitors who hid Biden's infirmity from the world. This is nonsense
Will Trump and his fellow Republicans go full sexist and racist? It is likely, either intentionally or accidentally.
Her father is Afro-Jamaican. Does that make him at least Latino-adjacent? Maybe a little bit.
Serial sperg Andrew Tanenbaum, operator of the popular Electoral-Vote.com, known for his braindead liberal rants, is taking this news as expected.

Another big question is what role Biden will play at the convention. We, and in particular (Z), continue to think his infirmities were overblown. But, in any case, he's still clearly quite capable of delivering prepared remarks. And if he gets up and gives a whiz-bang of a "this is bigger than any one of us; this is about the future of the country" address, it could be one for the ages.
As to Harris' campaigning, the bad rap she gets there comes from her failed presidential campaign, which ended very early during the 2020 cycle. Certainly, that campaign was not one for the history books. However, she has run successful campaigns before, most obviously getting herself elected to the U.S. Senate from California.
Now this is some major cope. She barely won California.

Isn’t it FUNNY how we don’t even have proof of life from Biden.

For all we know, some intern could have written that Twitter post and attached the pres-sig.jpeg, while Pelosi keeps Joe drugged up and passed out.

Wouldn’t be surprised if his Covid suddenly takes a terminal course.

Big titted brown mommy
Wait, what?
I haven't seen one thing even remotely close to someone highlighting a single policy position of hers.
She hates niggers more than Trump.
It's merely a formality at this point IMO. State party chairs are being told their ceremonial gigs and the local clout that comes with it will be immediately yoinked if they don't bend the knee. The DNC has spoken.
The DNC just needed assurance that Harris would keep rubber stamping whatever gets pushed in front of her. Everything else is theatrics.
Propaganda works. What can I say?

I completely agree, especially the anchor babies.

I'm not even a fan a kamala but people saying shes "incredibly unpopular" are wrong. dem fundraising via actblue (i,e non-corp donors) is at like 50m. this doesnt mean shes going to beat trump, but acting like dropping dementia biden and replacing him with the VP is a "blunder" is hubris. that being said, voting is gay.

I love this idea that Nancy Pelosi at *eighty four years old* is running anything
Of course. She is merely conveying the will of the elites or the 'donors', when she says the hard way she means they will intensify their opposition of him and find some way to force him to abdicate while kicking and screaming. They use the Democrat staffers, elder members and such as fronts who they also pressure to convey their opinion without being seen as influencing the election which they obviously are. Notice how many of these people voiced their opposition to Biden in meetings with donors, and their statements were then leaked to the press. The elites almost always refuse to comment directly to the press, there was an article about this a few days ago before Biden dropped out where the NYT author mentioned that he could barely get anyone from the elite to talk to him about why they opposed Biden. Gee I wonder why, moron.

This article which admits the vast majority of donors were behind this effort was written before Biden gave in so the article is hilariously out of date with the author triumphantly declaring their power is limited. Woops! (archive) Ezra came out with an article echoing this not long after Biden dropped out, but adding that while they turned on him and that this is what sparked this ousting the donors are also the sole reason he had unanimous support for so long because they supported him, implying the donors are the reason the topic of Biden's mental acuity was verboten for so long. Ezra ends up saying "here's why that's a good thing", though. (archive)

Don't get me wrong, I supported Biden dropping out, but the way he is dropping out is obviously only to appease donors. Motherfucker loved being President, he didn't want to quit.
