bro when i made that "what if the 16 year old bought the coke" post it was meant to be a joke, a reference to an earlier post where another user had talked about how he used to buy drugs for his parents when he was in high school

but seriously now: while it is not impossible that a teenage boy could score some drugs, i don't see how he would be able to afford the absolute truckload of coke that was found in nicks house. it was thousands of dollars worth of drugs, that's not from a teenager looking to experiment.

I’m not an MD either, just someone who drank enough years ago to develop these symptoms for a few years. Everyone is different, but in my experience I’d say that Nick isn’t drinking enough to get the serious symptoms like seizures— evidenced by the fact that he has been pulled over multiple times without getting a DUI. Is he binge drinking? Absolutely, but is he going on multi-week benders where he drains a liter of whiskey every day? It doesn’t seem like it.

I have rolled my eyes a few times at the speculation in this thread that he’s going to die from withdrawals. He has serious alcohol and drug issues, but I think there are a lot of people in this thread that simply have no idea what they’re talking about.

Agreed. Ask anyone in medical surgical and they will tell you that it’s fairly common to have pts check in for alcoholism. IME, pt tend to check out as soon as the physical issues wear off and then book another ticket months or years later. Very rarely have I seen pt that were so wracked with alcohol withdraw syndrome (AWS) that they had to be placed on seizure warning. IME by the time AWS becomes that severe, there are confounding issues like Wernecke-Korsokoff syndrome or hepatic encephalopathy.

I totally agree - I had a serious fall last year which resulted in a textbook 'fight obtained' black eye. I can't even count the amount of people who asked me "Holy shit! Who punched you?". People need to realize that black eyes are more commonly caused by things other than fights and violence. I think people are so hyped up over this whole situation with Nick that they are prone to jumping to the wildest of conclusions for everything. The man needs to be given the benefit of the doubt for at least some things; lest we be seen as overexaggerating haters jumping to the zaniest of conclusions. People will stop taking us seriously. It diminishes the real extremities that this clown has brought upon himself and dem keedz.

Is it any better that a man in his 40s with 5 children is getting so high and drunk his skull is bouncing off counter tops left and right, or that his wife gave him a well-deserved smack? Either way, it doesnt really matter the explicit details, the very fact that rekieta got a black eye is really weird, and obviously has to do with his addictions.

I think the dog thing is mostly something to discredit the thread because it was me theorizing because there was no mention of the dog in the police report. Nick’s going to cling to that minor detail rather than acknowledge that Kayla is rail thin as well.

I don’t know why he wouldn’t give the kids the dog though. You’d think the kids would want their dog during a time like this.

I mean it's possible, but it will be hard to tell until he's been sober for some time (if that's even possible for him) since the sagging could be a result of intoxication and muscle relaxation. It's definitely not outside of the realm of possibilities, but chronic substance abuse like that has such an impact on someone's appearance that it's sometimes hard to tell if it's something medical or a result of long-term substance abuse.
