Indeed, besides of constantly writing about people talking bad about the precious con, I also love the rapid sjwism of the starter of the con.

Angry SJW screamers really don't get to define humor since they have no sense of humor anyway.

I don't quite get how this is a race thing. Is she saying no white men are funny? Buster Keaton? Charlie Chaplin? Fatty Arbuckle? George Carlin? Woody Allen? Jerry Seinfeld? W. C. Fields? Eddie Izzard? Groucho Marx? Eugene Mirman? Bill Bailey? P. G. Wodehouse? Bill Hicks? S. J. Perelman? Aristophanes?

He's a pedo shitlord since he married his 14 year old stepdaughter or whatever it was. Seriously, even if you're of the "I don't condone the man's actions but I like his works and can separate the two" you're considered an "abuse apologist". Same as Roman Polanski.

Also Tumblr rarely partakes of any kind of classic media, hell, anything made before 1990 is a serious stretch.

Tumblrinas couldn't. E.g., Dashcon.
That con being a complete disaster was mostly due to the fact that it was run by con artists and/or people who had no idea what they were doing. Looks like this SU con is being run by people who have run successful conventions in the past so that doesn't seem to be the problem. The problem would be putting that fanbase into a building and seeing what happens.

I feel bad for the creators of this show. I wonder if they ever could have imagined when working on it before it premiered that it would attract the worst of tumblr fandom.

These people make bronies look like a Sunday School group.

They probably thought that they'd have a loyal sci-fi fanbase, along with a sizable LGBT following interested in the romance between the characters. I doubt they could have predicted that their fanbase would be harassing people to the extent that they do and throwing huge tantrums when episodes don't go their way (see the Bismuth thing).

Don't forget the greatest joke of all time;

"That gentleman over there has a fedora on his head."
Funny thing is that tumblr can't really tell the difference between other hats and fedoras. Reminds me of this one time this one tumblr user was making fun of a group of orthodox jews (took pics with them not knowing and everything ) because they thought their hats was a fedoras.

What jokes? Tumblr has no sense of humor besides what you guys just mentioned, white people/white boys jokes, and horrible puns. It's like they have a kid's sense of humor.

Don't forget containing one or more of the following: Nazism, abortion, necrophilia, drug addiction, homophobia, misogyny, suicide, anti-Semitism, rape, a perverted sixth-grader’s take on sex and sexuality, racism (mostly against white people), transphobia in some faux offensive way that's supposed to be "edgy" and "subversive", but is really garbage and being reliant on fans recognizing that thing they know, and nothing more.

I'm just going to leave this and a few remarks here:

tl;dr: CN's having a focus on anti-bullying this month, and Rebecca Sugar/SU is going to be a large part of it. Now, I might be grasping at invisible straws here, but something tells me this is CN's way (and by proxy, Sugar) of implicitly acknowledging that the SU fandom has a horrible reputation and is known for bullying people to the extreme (although the Voltron fandom is close to taking that crown), and in a roundabout way, shaming those people who engage it in it within the fandom.

But given Sugar's quote and how it could be interpreted by these little shitheels... this could go one of two ways: Badly or Really Badly.

Haha.. "Bullied". By adults who freak out about cartoons on the Internet. Remember when you fought back against bullies by taking taekwondo classes? What the hell happened..

If I was a network exec, I'd be inclined to just say "fuck it, let's just go back to making the same shows we used to, being politically correct is nothing but trouble."
That's probably what's going to end up happening when Steven Universe eventually ends/is canceled. With recent news of Regular Show, The Amazing World of Gumball, and Adventure Time all nearing their ends (mostly because they've been on the channel since 2010-2011 and, on Cartoon Network, that's the equivalent of ten to 20 years) in 2017 and 2018, it won't be long before Steven Universe has to say goodbye and Cartoon Network scrambles for new material, a lot of which will be accused of offending and triggering the 20-somethings who watch the channel. They'll give up on it, thinking it doesn't cater to them before, when really, it never did.
