You Know What Grinds My Gears? - Things that personally piss you off

It grinds my gears that nobody on the entire damn Internet seems to know the difference between "weary" and "wary", specifically that they incorrectly use "weary" because they don't know "wary" is a word. I see it used incorrectly on forums, I see it used incorrectly in Youtube videos, I see it used incorrectly in articles.

It's depressing how many native English speakers have such a tenuous grasp of their own language.

"could of"
"pitcher" instead of "picture"
typing out "y'all"/"yall"/"ya'll" unironically

I unironically keep a text file of the dumbest and most entertaining language errors I encounter. One of my favorites was a Youtuber who kept using the phrase "long in the tooth" as some kind of unnecessarily fancy way of saying "long" rather than "old".

They're so stupid. They're so, so fucking stupid.

And rogue and rouge. It's like half the internet is using makeup.
