Two possible counterpoints:

- Null doesn't have a contract with Rumble. Maybe Rumble puts an accelerator on view counts / live users counts on specific creators for marketing purposes. Remember that Nick was contracted right around the time he was banned from Youtube. It might look bad (especially to investors) if the new acquisition who's been recently banned can't get anywhere near the same numbers on Rumble.

- The other option is that Nick's the one doing the botting, but I know nothing about how that works or what signs to look for. However, I don't expect Nick to be able to pull this off competently. If this was happening someone would have noticed and posted the evidence by now.

The best tell for botting is a huge delta between views and chat activity. It's hard to tell if the platform universally does a multiplier, versus someone botting their streams/videos. I don't see any evidence Rackets is botting his own account.

I admit, I find Rumble's views questionable, but I'm inclined to believe they use a very loose metric for views and viewers. Given how slow their customer-facing platform improvements have been, I wouldn't be surprised if their tech department is pretty lacking- it could even just be shit code giving the views incorrectly. Really, this only matters to their internal units, for renewing contracts, and that they aren't lying publicly about it, as they are a public company now.

Supposedly Rackets is just over or under 5000 locals subscribers, and crowder is over 80,000. That feels about right.

As for the Rumble viewer numbers for VODs of live streams, there's definitely something suspect going on. A few months ago, some fresh-faced coder must have thought there was a glitch, and fixed it, because the viewer numbers for live stream VODs dropped drastically. When this happened, it became apparent that the criteria Rumble uses to count a view is probably inflated by around 10x. A few weeks later, it was back to being inflated, which means someone told this young punk programmer that it wasn't a glitch, but a feature. This isn't a blanket inflation for VODs, however -- it seems to be applied exclusively to preferred Rumble streamers.

All I can say is that when a live stream with ~2,000 live viewers has 200,000+ VOD views the moment the stream ends, something ain't right. Rumble should just be transparent about it -- explain their counting criteria and move on. The casual viewer won't know, but at least it will be out there for anyone who is curious.

I must confess I do see some strains of Terry Davis in Monty. I don't think he's nearly as amusing, and probably nobody will ever match Saint Terry, but I can see why some people find Monty's insanity endearing and likable at times.
