I'm not sure if anyone's here have seen the 'Pandemic Amnesty' article? While it's not a troon, it shows their grifter mindset perfectly.

The name of the author was familiar, turns out she's an economist that condenses studies regarding pregnancy and parenting. She's drawn ire already within parenting communities for being wholly unqualified to make medical recommendations- the idea of her going through studies and explaining the findings and the quality of said studies is a good one and a nice parenting tool to add to your arsenal when it comes to decision making, but people love to have their behavior validated and I've seen her book being justified by pregnant women for a one-wine-a-day habit too many times to be a big fan. She sometimes gets a bit self-assured when it comes to recommendations based on her medical layman's reading of studies, and I'm not surprised she might have done the same about Covid.

I have a theroy on the IBS, at least. There are no tests to diagnose IBS. Essentially if you come in with digestive issues, your doctor will run a bunch of tests to pin down the cause. The autism gut thing is why a lot of parents try altering their kid's diet when they're diagnosed, and it's not terrible idea. Little autistic kids often can't communicate things like "my tummy hurts after we eat (whatever)," and that frequent discomfort can contribute to meltdowns and self injurious behaviors and just annoying autistic shit. It's not going to make them stop being autistic, but it can make it easier to manage (if they do in fact have some kind of digestive issue exacerbating things.)
