Jesus Christ. This is one of the crueler things I've read in this thread. Can't wean off the opes for long enough to pick up a WFH call centre job? Don't qualify for disability even though you're super duper sick eh? There's absolutely no way for someone with a competent level of literacy to make a living from a desk, Mommy's got to haul her bones back to work like the god damn horse from Animal Farm. Paige's mom honestly got the happy ending.

Wow, the comment section on that last post is amazing! On a quick scroll through, every comment I saw was either someone talking about their very real terrible pain that a mean old doctor dismissed, or someone telling OP they are a horrible doctor who should be ashamed for being so terrible. The lack of self awareness throughout the chronic illness community as a whole just blows my mind.

I’m seeing articles in major publications now talking about “medical gaslighting” and feel bad for family doctors who now have to deal with hordes of mentally ill women showing up insisting they have EDS or whatever and getting aggressive when told they don’t and maybe just need therapy and to get off their ass once in a while - and now being bolstered by the media along with social media telling them they’re totally valid and special.

Medical gaslighting is definitely a real thing, especially for women and especially around stuff like menstruation issues or whatever, but as usual munchies have taken a real thing and modified it to fit their munchie needs. Which is frustrating for normal people because it hardens medical professionals against everyone, and people with real issues suffer.

Small power level but not about me: my elderly neighbor is in chronic pain from an accident years ago. Not the kind people in this thread are in; her body is criss crossed with scars from her numerous surgeries over the years. Her spine is essentially fused together and last time she had a surgery she was in one of those halo things for weeks. One of the most wonderful people I've ever known, will give you anything you need even though she herself doesn't have two dimes to rub together. And because of how difficult it is to get pain meds due to people abusing them, every month she has to go through a terrible process to get the help she needs even though she's been on the same prescriptions for years now. It's really frustrating and I feel so bad for her all the time.

Anyway yes Mari or whatever her name is just a death fat. Her poor mother. She should be ashamed.

There was a thread a little back with a troon who wanted to lactate, so he was eating those "lactation cookies" for breastfeeding mothers. (They had a little fenugreek in them, but were mostly just nutritional support for a postpartum woman who was already lactating, oats and flaxseed and such.) It was a combination of magical thinking, poor reading comprehension, and disposable income.

Now, if anything's worth doing, it's worth overdoing, and they do sell fenugreek in supplements or just tea bags.

Because I know good and damned well that was mentioned. I get to put my. Mom back together every major holiday. Funny huh?

I spoke then, as I do now, about myself and my health struggles because that's how I feel i can relate to others when they are discussing a condition I am dealing with. I would think that at least one person would appreciate knowing they're not completely alone.

Lastly, I don't qualify as a munchie, as all my health problems are officially diagnosed by my primary physician, whom I see every month since I'm on a heavy opioid for now TWO herniated discs that ate about to be fused at Emory. My specialist diagnosed them also and I have both scan CD's to prove it. Went to St. Joseph's Candler....after I had to go and take all my piercings in my face out because the radiologist there don't know implant grade titanium isn't going to be ripped out and damage the machines I also, as you so nicely mentioned, deal with Fibromyalgia, but I guess you stopped stalking me and you don't know about the diagnoses of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Chronic Migraine, Degenerative Disc Disease(explains why I keep herniation discs!) Autism Spectrum Disorder, Meralgia Parasthetica in my right thigh, and permanent nerve damage in my back.

I feel as if that's not exactly a funny life story so far, but hey, I guess everyone has their quirks. I would remember that people who do what some of you do, sometimes end up in my shoes and then some. You showed up on the subreddit in March/April 2020 along with an influx of bored quarantiners who were obnoxious and extremely funny oversharers. Most of the others would just report my posts telling them to stop being retarded as targeted harassment and then fuck off, but not you! You kept coming in with more stories about your dead dad, your cheese preferences, your really real illnesses, your sex life, and anything else you could possibly think of to share with the class. You posted these diary entries in the comments of posts usually without ever acknowledging the content of the post itself and if you did, it was only as a springboard to talk about yourself again. You never, ever commented without bringing yourself up. You became a meme amongst the jannies because we were all tired of your shit, but no one wanted to ban you because we didn't ban people for being annoying.

You were given several warnings that you could get doxed and specifically that you could be posted on the farms where you couldn't take your dox down if you didn't fuck off or stop derailing threads to talk about yourself. I surrendered my janny powers due to people like you making the sub a nightmare to moderate. @Special spoonie dumped some receipts here because they independently got tired of your shit (Spoonie was never a mod or privy to mod chat, just another user who fucking hated you FYI). Since you seem so insistent on ignoring the elephant in the room (you) while your own words betray yourself, I'm going to assume that this is more than a few. If you're just going to mumble some nonsense back like any other junkie you can save us both time and not bother. Otherwise I'll extend an olive branch and say you're fabricating less than most, but only because your problems stem almost directly from your morbid obesity and your refusal to diet.

The hips:

Now I can't be bothered to find a bariatric diagram to show the disaster your thunder thighs are causing but above are what normal hips look like. The white stuff where the pelvis meets the femur? You have none. It has been compressed and destroyed by gravity and you carrying around more weight than mother nature ever intended. Likewise your legs naturally have to splay out as you waddle and that is what is causing your hip dislocations. But Sweet Jesus Above do not take this as license to be sedentary. If you do this will all be resolved when they have to do amputations at the hip when diabetes takes your legs.

Those herniated disks are also caused because you're carrying the weight of several people. I would be unsurprised to hear surgery wouldn't even be necessary for you if you just halved your current weight. You almost certainly ate your way into this considering you're popping pills like they're PEZ when your pain issues are as pedestrian as they come. The amount of uppity you proudly claim to be and how little sends you to the ER makes it clear this isn't that serious. Likewise if it is neuropathic there isn't much to do beyond the surgery you're too fat for. The pain pills don't really help, you're just high and addicted to opioids now. Which guess what? That will fuck your perception of pain so much that you won't find relief ever. Regardless of treatment, regardless of if you come to genuinely want to stop munching. I'd get into the destruction you're doing to things like your liver and kidneys but frankly that is the least of your problems. I'd tell you to play on I-75/85 when you visit Emory next but I fear you'd even be a risk to someone driving a big rig. Blog about your diet if you want ass pats fattie.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Chronic Migraine, Degenerative Disc Disease

And here you are doing a very classic munchie move - claiming symptoms as separate diagnoses. Assuming your degenerative disc disease is real (and as @BelUwUga pointed out, it might be), fatigue and migraines would be symptoms of that disorder. You wouldn't be diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue syndrome and chronic migraines as a separate diagnosis, those would be symptoms. It doesn't make you sound more knowledgeable to say you have a billion diseases, it makes you sound dramatic and honestly, a bit uneducated about your claimed conditions.

And even if you were somehow magically diagnosed with these things, the treatment for them is a good diet, an iron-clad schedule, exercise, good sleep, and working WITH your doctor, not switching out 5 times until you get the one who tells you what you want. Treatment for chronic illnesses is NEVER 'give up and lay in bed all day', and it sounds like that's exactly what you want yours to be.

This dumb bitch poster does realise that a shitton of munchies have multiple doctor-diagnosed illnesses, right?

For example, her CFS is entirely diagnosed based on patient-reported symptoms, as is her Fibro. Some of the others are too. Munchies get diagnosed via self-reported symptoms all the time. They can also manipulate tests to get a real diagnosis if they care to.

I can't believe anyone would rock up here to say 'well obviously I'm not a munchie and I can prove it with my list of garden variety munchie illnesses'. The back issues seem plausible because of her size and the fact doctors often order imaging for back problems.


As for not working, I know that in the US getting disability assistance is a difficult process, but you'd think more of these chronically ill warriors would actually have it. If they don't, it's usually because they claim a litany of illnesses that can't be proved. You know, like muh fibros. I feel so bad for the mum.
