Every time I see the "Trannies acktually existed for thousandz of years" rhetoric, this image flashes through my mind:
Wyświetl załącznik 2944998

If it’s normal and has existed for thousands of years, why do troons NEED hormone and surgical treatment that was only developed in the last 100 years or so or else they will immediately kill themselves? How do they reconcile “troons were respected and did fine in the distant past” with “troons need this lifesaving medical treatment urgently or else they will die”?

Isn't the whole "third gender" thing certain tribes/cultures have a result of "the woman of the tribe keep dying in child birth and we need them to raise kids and for domestic labour; let's stick that effeminate guy who can't hunt in a dress and take turns fucking him, it totally won't be gay"?

The article @Malevolent Grimace linked to is a really good takedown of what “third gender” or “two spirit” (or whatever the whiteys are calling it now) meant in practice historically. The concept only popped up among tribes with strictly enforced gender roles. Many of those tribes had a "failed male" designation so the real men wouldn’t have to put up with the effeminate losers. In more egalitarian societies like the Iroquois, it was accepted that men and women could have a range of roles and the "third" designation wasn't needed.

Are there right wing trannies? (excluding Blair white) or do they barely exist. Most trannies I see are commie or left leaning
They will latch onto whatever movement accepts them. Heterosexual troons attached themselves the homo movement deliberately because they thought it would serve their aims, even though many early figures in the movement were conservative politically (here is a good thread about how it happened in Britain)

And gay rights in general has been a lefty thing from the start, particularly in the US.

Omygods... imagine your sole reason for transing is because it makes you more interesting 🙄

Can we please just take the internet away from children already? If it's already been proven that the internet is addictive, then children shouldn't be allowed near it just like they aren't allowed near alcohol, drugs, or gambling.

Wait, are the the famous “male” lesbians that I keep reading about? What type of dysphoria is this? You hate being perceived as female but hate the idea if being a “binary” man? This just sounds like self loathing lesbian.

I know it’s someone trolling but I can’t believe there’s someone who pretending to be an egg that could be hatched in this thread and rather than encouraging them to and ultimately 41% people here are trying to help.

The internet has got soft.
The poster didn't strike me as an egg. And I figured that in the 'worst' case scenario they were baiting for screen caps to show phobic farmers terfing away without consequence to a troon hugbox. So I gave a reasonable response that would look hilarious if that happened.

We see a lot of cluster b and mental health issues in the people we make fun of here that should have been treated instead of groomed, celebrated and fed.

Jesus wept. “Gabby” is a particular kind of tragedy. He definitely strikes me as someone who “transitioned” (read: put a bow in his hair and smiles a little differently in pictures now) just to belong in a group and have people like, talk to him and stuff.

I've seen several people on Leddit pose the question "if there was a pill that cured dysphoria, would you take it?" And I'd say the majority claim they wouldn't. That's so fucking bonkers to me....

Most troons don't even have dysphoria, really. Whenever they bitch about MuH dYsPhOrIa, it's usually because some clerk called them sir or some lesbian blocked them on a dating app or whatever... whenever they're denied an opportunity to indulge in their fetish, they call the resulting feeling dysphoria when really, they just feel like shit because they wanted that sweet, narcissistic supply, but didn't get it.

A truly dysphoric tranny would do anything to cure it. AGPs have no interest in curing their "dysphoria," because it only makes their euphoria boners that much sweeter whenever they have an excuse to pop one.

That's why most of them keep their dicks.

“Sadly there is a compatibility issue”.
Yeah, like you being a fat, unattractive dude in a dress. I love this blanket mentality that lesbians don’t date trans women because of some perceived problem with them being trans. Certainly it’s not that every one of these hunks look like a hippo with a bad dye job. Oh, and they have a fucking penis too.

Unpassing tranny goes on british morning news to talk about how she isn't a human and actually identifys

That the "on all levels except physical I am a wolf" guy.
Who would have guessed, one delusion feeds into the other. I'm surprised that the comments don't have a bunch of people breaking their brains to justify why one of these delusions is bad while affirming the other, people seem to generally just support both of them and claim he's an awesome person (he is not, he's a sexual predator, surprise, surprise). Check out his thread, starts out boring then suddenly gets fucking crazy.

Saw this on Twitter. The replies are 99% full of people saying the trannies were having sex or snorting coke. Because in order for them to be in one cubicle long enough to draw attention from the other drunk women, alert security to that, for security to get through the club to the bathroom, and for security to break through the door, there's no other real explanation.

If they were sharing a cube because they were ~vulnerable people~ looking out for each other, as one reply suggested, they'd only be in there long enough to do their business and get out, or at least open the door when security came in. I'm assuming security doesn't come and just bust the door down without trying to talk to the people in the stall first, that seems like a good way to damage the establishment and cost money to repair it.
They are not vulnerable people considering that they're dating the mayor. I wish I was joking.

Holy shit. Sometimes I waste my time by reading the comments on these posts because I've got too much time on my hands. Sometimes it pays off though. Look at this epic sperg and :story:

Spoilered for length, it's the typical cope they give fir this answer really, but the footnote is worth reading at least. Oh, my sides.

I tried to answer that same one. Here's my answer:

This is a topic with a lot of nuance, so please read carefully.

To begin, my background:

I have been a rights activist as long as I can remember, I have 5 years post-grad education but in varied fields (meaning I'm a PhD in number of classes, but more a jill-of-all-trades instead of a specialist), I was raised by two psychologists (who definately raised me to understand their field, so I have a lot of the technical knowledge but none of the bedside manner), and who went into biotech and the sciences, and I'm also a trans woman. So, this is answer is going to be probably one of the most correct answers you're going to get, but also one of the most technical, but I'll try to keep it as understandable as possible, but it's going to be long-winded, so... I'm sorry for that.

So, now to your answer.

First, before I go further, I want to say that I'm not offended currently. And I'm not telling you who you should date or shouldn't, nor am I telling you that it's transphobic not to fall in love with certain people. What I am trying to do is tell you how to say what you're apparently trying to say, instead of what you said.

Secondly, just so you know, the question you just asked, the way you asked initially, is borderline transphobic, and is considered one of the classic "accidentally transphobic" questions. However, you're also asking the question of how to ask, so definitely putting this in the 'accidental' category.

Now, before you get angry about me calling your question transphobic, I'm going to explain why. This is not an angry explanation, or a "Well, why are you rejecting so-and-so and you should love them even if you don't" explanation, I am simply pointing out why this question is a social minefield, and am encouraging you to re-think how you approach the question.First off, who you are attracted to and not attracted to is valid. However, you're very likely putting a category of attraction that is attributed to trans women that isn't a valid way of categorizing trans women.

I'll start off with the basic, and then go into detail.

The problem with assuming you aren't interested in trans women is the fact that by assuming you're not attracted to trans women is you're making an assumption that you can tell the difference between a cis woman and a trans woman. This is simply not the case. You may be able to tell the difference between a lot of cis women and a lot of trans women, but you cannot do this absolutely.

If you claim you are "not interested in trans women", this implies there is a feature of trans women you do not find attractive. The problem here, is that there are no 100% shared features among trans women. Anything that you find a "turn off about trans women" doesn't apply to all trans women.

For example, when you say "I'm not interested in trans women", I'm going to imagine for a moment that you mean, "I'm not interested in someone who has a masculine build, and parts seen by non-progressive society as masculine, but who presents female". This is how popular media frequently portrays trans women. Less than a tenth of trans women fall in this category. This is what's known as "2nd puberty", and depending on the trans woman, it only lasts 2 - 5 years. A better way to say this is, "I'm not interested in clockable trans women"If, when you say, "I'm not interested in trans women", we imagine you mean, "I'm not interested in someone who has a d--k", many, many trans women are post-op, and have female genitals pretty much the same as any other girls. A better way to say this is, "I'm not interested in pre-op trans women."

If, when you say, "I'm not interested in trans women", we imagine you mean, "I'm not interested in someone without a uterus", not only does that leave out most trans women (uterus transplants are now a thing as of last year, so won't leave out all trans women for long), but it also leaves out a lot of cis women. At which point, you'd say, "I'm not interested in women that don't have a uterus."

Maybe, if when you say, "I'm not interested in trans women", you want someone who was raised all their lives in female culture. (For the moment, avoiding the complexity that female culture changes from region to region), some lucky trans women were identified early, and transition very early in life in an accepting culture, and never go through a masculine puberty, attend school as a girl, dress as a girl, have been raised purely feminine and masculinity is just as completely an alien topic to them as it is to you. Similarly, especially in Islamic countries, there are cis women who are raised 100% male (usually to families without a son, meaning this is a woman you probably wouldn't care for either). At which point, you'd say, "I'm not interested in women who were raised in male culture."

A point to keep in mind. Trans women are women. And I don't mean this in some social "you are who you choose to be" sense. There is a biological inside-the-body reason most trans women "choose" to be women, and it's the fact that they are women1. So, if you are excluding trans women, you are excluding women. So if you have preferences in the women you date, state those preferences, don't just lump a bunch of unrelated women into one category.

Instead of blanket-banning trans women as a cohesive group (which they aren't a cohesive group, anymore than 'women who have six toes'), focus on the particular traits that you associate with trans women that you consider a turn off. Be aware that whatever those traits are, not all trans women have those traits, and some cis women likely do have those traits. There is no magical dividing line between trans women and cis women.

=====================================================================

1 Many trans women would best be described as women with a birth defect. As the body develops in the womb, it frequently checks its environment to see, "Should I be building masculine parts or feminine parts?" One of the most common things checked for during this process is testosterone. If the mother gets enough testosterone in their system (for example, this can be caused by stress), it can trigger a change in the baby's development. One of the earliest things developed is the nervous system and among the last things developed is skeletal, muscular, and reproductive systems. So frequently a trans woman is a girl who was developing in the womb who her mom's body skipped a horomonal beat, and decided to finish up by tacking on masculine bits. In other words, these trans women are literally women who were trapped in a man's body. They were, biologically, a woman who got a d--k slapped on them at the end before they entered the world. [Note: This is only one among many ways a trans woman can become a trans woman, and is used demonstratively, there are other ways, which include chimerism, epigenetic factors, genetic anomolies, and more. I can get into more detail if asked.)

=====================================================================

Edit: This isn't saying that women have to go through some biological test to be valid. They used to do that. That used to be a requirement. It cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. Insurance companies did research, and found that asking people their choices and identity (along with a counselor to filter out some mental illnesses that caused people to be confused), turned out it was nearly a 1:1 perfect substitute. This is why we call it "choice" now. It's not a choice, but because letting people choose ends up with the right answer. Kind of like if you asked someone, "Is your arm cut off, are you in pain?" and they answer "Yes", good chance their arm is cut off and they're in pain. There used to be a pattern of telling people they had to go through certain tests to valid, and then it only caught those trans women that the particular test was able to catch (when there's tons of types). Those who used to insist on 'medically validated' transness didn't do any good, but only gatekept against lots of valid trans women. They were called truscrum, don't do that.

Someone called him out on how babbys are made:

You're line of thinking on trans development is years behind and that's not at all how biology works.

Unless you have an extremely rare birth defect, your given an X chromosome from mom and then either an X or a Y chromosome from dad depending on if the sry gene is activated. Thereafter, your body develops as either XX (F) or XY(M). Unless your intersex, which is about .05% of the pop and even then they can still either be male or female, there's no dick being slapped onto trans women.

If that were true, that we(trans women) are biologically female, we'd develop female characteristics as well. We wouldn't need to take prescribed estrogen because our bodies would develope it naturally.

We aren't yet at the stage where we know why some of us are trans, we need more studies, and there's no conclusive evidence that you can tell a trans person apart from a cis person before they can communicate that they are trans.

That's really the whole point, it's about how we feel and identify.

His response:
Actually, you're behind.

Turns out how we feel & identify is determined by our biology; like 98%+ correlation.

You'll notice I didn't mention X or Y chromosomes once.

The whole X or Y thing was merely a hypothesis. It was disproved with the human genome project. It was thought one gene flipped gender. Turned out it was more than 50 genes, spread throughout the genome, making for well over trillions of possible genders and quite a full spectrum.

What I"m talking about isn't truscrum, but pointing out that how you feel and identify is generally validated by biology.

I don't know how to archive reddit threads, but here's the link to the comment chain.

This troon argument might actually be what drives me fully insane. a) incorrect on the lack of important of the SRY gene, but more importantly b) your brain does not have a mechanism for you to feel your fucking genes! Down Syndrome sufferers are not all claiming to be some mysterious extra dimensional meta gender because they have an extra chromosome. Your identity isn't a fucking variable in a list, so that you have 255 recolored variations of human because some arbitrary number of organic RAID switches have been flipped. If you can't fucking describe the actual experience of being "aliengender", then I don't want to hear it. The whole point of identity is to describe experiences that are normal for you, you have no other frame of reference to compare it to directly. You can't say that you feel fucking "special" inside!. And if your description of gender is just a bunch of stupid stereotypes, then yes, we get to call it a fetish! Your genes do not tell you "skirt go spinny", you fucking anti-science hacks.

These people literally don't understand what it is to be a fucking human.

I said this in another thread, but I think troonism is like the archetypal brony male. The male desire to appropriate things meant exclusively for women and/or girls is something that reoccurs over and over again. Bronies claimed they just liked something against gender norms, but they were always super clear that they were "not gay". It bothered them a lot to be called gay. PL: I knew someone from highschool who bronied out back in the day, and I swear the obsession is like the same course as troonism (albeit more reversible). Chubby loser, okay to be around but not the greatest, becomes obsessed and insufferable, and goes around trying to get other dudes to join the fandom (always dudes, never women). I cut contact with him after he tried to get me to read a 700 page fanfic about his favorite background character. And it was obvious that part of the appeal was taking this thing that he had specifically been told is "not for him", and dominating it anyway.

I've seen a lot of desperation in my day, but telling women you have a PhD in mansplaining womanhood is really out there.

Ah shit someone beat me to it lmao. Oh well.

You need to contribute something to the field to have a PhD. There's no such thing as a class-based PhD. Just making shit up on every level.
