I don't mean in like an r/antiwork sort of Commie way. Been job hunting for like 2 months but the idea that I'm gonna have to devote 40 hours of my life every week to this thing I'm interviewing for today, for some reason fills me with Dread. It's not just the job itself even.

Rarely do I ever feel that way at work now thankfully.

I hate work when I have to go to bed when I'm not all that tired, just so I'm not half asleep on the job.
I hate work when I'm stuck in traffic.
I hate work when I'm washing and ironing my work clothes.
I hate work when lunchbreak is about to end.
I hate work when I can't have another drink.
I hate work when I have to get up before sunrise and leave after sunset.
I hate work when I have to do unpaid training.
I hate work when I spend more than I made from my last paycheque.

Though I have had jobs where I have hated every single second of it, to the point I accepted SSRI's in the vain hope I'd stop contemplating throwing myself from the mezzanine.

Hobbies are good but I find the contrast between "wow i fucking hate work" and "this hobby is great" helps balance things out. If I'm only just doing hobbies to keep me busy it starts to burn me out . Sometimes you need some shittyness in life to keep things balanced. It's why you see some billionares becoming depressed despite living life on easy mode, when their life is nothing but pleasure and dopamine they start needing more and more to make them feel something.

Everyone wins. The people who make up a majority of the workforce & taxpayers don't feel like slaves who have to waste their lives at an office or wake up too early.
