As for Nick's political relevance-mainstream media outlets today were fretting over Trump having dinner with him. So...while he might not actually be near the levers of power-liberals take him actually having an audience with Trump(however received) quite seriously.

Part of the issue is Nick slips into the role of entertainer-if he wanted to worm and bludgeon his way into the GOP-then perhaps there might have been an opportunity for that a few years ago-I'd say that's passed.

At best the GOP will see him as a gauge of what younger "radical" voters think, and an unwitting booster for the party, at worst they will simply ignore him.

If he were serious about going into politics, this is a dumb thing to say. In general, I can respect the honesty, still lame though.

One of the more damning aspects of the Fed stuff-someone pointed out that, if you get on the no fly list-you absolutely must cooperate with the Feds to get off it. Whether that's being an informant or sabotaging your own goals-you do not get removed from that list unless you make a deal with the Feds, they have you over a barrel and will demand concessions.

Nick played up getting on the no fly list, but IIRC didn't make a huge deal about his removal from it.
