"Crony Capitalism" is something of an unfortunate misnomer. It's actually more correctly described as "Corporatism". It's not really Capitalism at all.

You just pointed out what's really ruining/fucking up/destroying America right now (in every sense possible) and NO... Communism/Socialism being enforced overnight won't even come close to fixing it.

It's fucking up Canada too. For some reason the Canadian Government (usually the Liberals) likes to throw taxpayer money at companies such as Bombardier, so much so that Boeing on the other side of the border is like "HEY WTF UNFAIR". The government said it was to "have good Canadian Jobs", but what ended up happening was Bombardier gave huge bonuses to their execs while laying off THOUSANDS, and the one Liberal minister claimed somethingsomething 1200 GOOD jobs were secured by the "loan" (as they called it).

The Dairy, Egg, and Poultry Boards (formerly also the Wheat Board) supply-management system could also be described as a form of corporatism, as it artificially restricts supply, keeps prices high so that working poor or welfare children have a hard time getting healthy food such as milk because milk is so goddamned expensive (5 dollars average for a gallon/4L).

If you're gonna pay $5 bucks for a gallon of titty juice, you might as well live on the U.S./British Virgin Islands.

They claim it's to keep the farmers from going bankrupt. I don't see why they can't just throw taxpayer money at the farmers directly like the US and some Euro countries do. At least then the prices would be cheaper and it wouldn't hurt the poor as much, if the farmers are in that dire of straits without it.
