That is terrible and harmful. Not gonna lie, I would actually be willing to hang out and play vidya with any wizard in my area (with the caveat that I'm not interested in any romantic or sexual relationship with them), to offer the companionship and support of someone who has suffered from social anxiety and knows somewhat what it's like. (I'm not pretending that I'd know or understand what it's like to be in their specific situation, because I don't, but I've at least been through something remotely similar.) I'm not qualified or able to help any wizard try to "fix" themselves, of course, but I can at least offer a bit of a friendly presence.

That being a member of Wizardchan means forsaking any sort of social activity in order to belong is horrendous.

They'd just think you were a succubus who was luring them into a false sense of security until you make them feel even more depressed because they can't get laid.

What they're saying is this: they desire a relationship more than anything, but a relationship can only be earned once you reach a certain level of normality. If you don't have the 'essentials' of a functioning human being (decent aesthetics, a career, education, guile, sense of humor), you can't date. So, while it sucks being a virgin, what they actually want is companionship, which they cant get because of perceived disabling factors. In other words, they can't find a true and honest boyfriend free girl to make a sweetheart from the ground up because the god damn alpha jerks have taken all the women leaving them none left to choose from.

Why I like this statement is because their entire website is also their Achilles heel. They desire the thing that's banned on their site the most. In essence they're all just wannabe normalfags, and their site's rules are just there to keep it afloat without the whole thing caving in on itself.

Thank you Null for confirming it. I didn't know that rule 2 extended to literally all friendships possible. Really I gave them more credit and thought they sought to be less pathetic and at least play vidya together like the outcasts they are. Even when I was socially awkward and didn't talk to girls I still wanted to have friends and shit, I didn't shun them out of some pretentious sense of superiority.

Credit cards help out in that regard. Our Pet Lolcow knows this first hand. If he just goes out and comes back during the day, or claims he "works online", then his parents could be easily fooled.

What the wizards truly need are parents that are much less tolerant of their bullshit. I would never want to be a wizard but if i decided to be one i could could never be a wizard, simply because my parents would beat the living crap out of me if I was. And they would force me to go out and socialize a lot with other people or try to develop a life. This is where parenting skill MUST come into play.
