No this is what they want us to think they're doing. Yes, with all that free time and money they could very well be taking part in improving themselves both physically and mentally. Of course the reality of the situation is much worse because doing stuff is hard and these are a bunch of lazy fucks. Besides, what good is learning a new language if you're never going to use it? These are socially repressed individuals who's greatest accomplishment is whether or not they looked the cashier in the eye when they bought their Doritos.

People like this will "learn" about whatever is in their narrow field of interest. They like planes? Well they're going to read up on planes and they're going to study every make and model and in a year know everything there is to know about planes except anything that's actually useful. I mean if you were learning something like how to fly or how to repair them that would be useful. Just learning the specs of the SR-71 Blackbird is ultimately hollow and meaningless.

Y'know what? I don't think anyone here really cares that you guys have decided to give up trying to score with women. (Whether or not you've succeeded before.)

You want to stop pursuing sex and relationships in favor of other areas of your life? Fine. It's your life, you do what makes you happy.

That goal right there has nothing in common with the vast majority of what we've seen on the Wizard forum.

Many - many - of the topics are about subjects such as how to live most comfortably as a NEET, or about the 'horrors' of dealing with family members questioning you on why you have no job or GF yet at family gatherings for the holidays. About how irreconcilably different you are from "normalfag" society.

It's an observation that people have made before in this topic, and I'll sum it up again now:

Wizardchan is not a board for people to gather just for the purposes of being self-identified wizards.
It is a cesspool of circle-jerking depression and the resolve to clear as much personal responsibility as possible from yourselves.

The attitudes displayed there are horribly unhealthy. Rather than chat about stuff you have in common such as certain animes you might love, or similar pasts such as being bullied in school or being uninterested in sports as a kid, or about plans for the future such as planned education and careers, the Wizardchan forum is flooded with posts glorifying the NEET lifestyle despite the fact that you are completely, 100% dependent on the goodwill of other people or local governments just to survive; posts demonizing women just for being women, as if that dictates essential qualities of their personalities; posts praising warped, dangerous views of love or healthy sexual relationships; posts whining about family members who are more capable than you happen to be; posts hating "normalfags" just for adapting to society.

That's not to say that these posts are 100% of the content on there, but they are undeniably a very large portion.

This is a forum dedicated to the discussion of the antics of one particular individual who refuses to adapt to society in any meaningful way, yet goes out of his way to demand that the reverse should happen. Who has 'justified' in the past that he shouldn't need to be self-sustaining like the vast majority of posters on here are.

These are people who take a morbid fascination watching the act of someone throwing away their own life despite the raw ability and the resources to prevent it, while simultaneously screaming that other people should drop to their knees and give them the life they want for no effort in return.

The fact that there's some overlap with a forum seemingly dedicated to such individuals should not be a surprise.

I think it wasn't directed at him so much as at the people he came here to champion.

If the Wizardchan forum was full of posts like his, we wouldn't find it anywhere near as pathetic as we do now.

All you need to do is go back less than a dozen pages to see the posts on the forum about the guy who was supposedly drugging his 11-year old cousin to find examples of the behavior that we do find horribly repulsive.

The man came here to defend a board that we've already noted seems to be a board for budding pedophiles - no matter how correct that assessment actually is.

Wizardchan looks like a basket full of bad apples, some of them festering and stuffed with maggots. There's nothing good about the culture there, and it's fucking terrifying to look so deeply into some of their minds with the shit they post.
