Honest to god, I have a Chris-like stutter. Whenever I get even slightly nervous, I end up - I sta- I start repeating phr - I start rephrasing stuff I've been - I'm saying. And since it tends to be triggered by nervousness, once I start stuttering, I can't stop. And yet somehow I'm not a complete social failure doomed to NEET-dom. Wonder how that works?

They invited the Sabines, another Latin-speaking tribe, to feast, and while they were distracted, their wives and daughters were stolen and "forcibly married." There were almost no women in Rome at the time, because it was a raiding outpost for local bandits. The only reason they did that was because Rome would not survive otherwise.
