Why don't reaction notifications work properly?

I've been on xenforo based forums before and you always get notifications when your posts are reacted to, but here even though I have reaction notifications enabled I never get any.

Are they broken?

Deliberately broken by the ooperator for reasons I don’t fully understand, can still be checked under reactions received though.

No @Null took them away because he wants to genocide Peoples of Artism who need the community feedback
