Look, I don't like most porn nor do I condone the porn industry. I think the latter is a horrid place where love and passion go to die and that anyone who defends it should go die. That being said, I find it interesting that many users on this site share a similar distaste to porn yet when it comes to the male side, there's insistence that women in media must be attractive no matter what. While on the female side it's a mixed bag but still a lil similar besides wanting men to be equally attractive.

I want to ask why though? What's the point of beautiful characters if the most horny they'll ever do is kiss, hold hands, maybe hug, and just look at each other? And then no sex ever happens? No sexuality nor any exploration beyond chaste sanitized intimacy. I feel like nothing would change if it were two cartoon rabbits doing it. That's how meaningless making sexy designs is. It serves no purpose than the titillate the viewer's gaze for the sake of retention.

If I wanted to consume a piece of media where men/women were sexualized or pretty for the sake of it, I would rather watch hentai or read a porn comic with plot than some anime where one of the characters is in an armored bikini yet never notices she's attractive.

Unlike some I don't care as much about ugly females but i'm against certain characters and designs n identities being unnaturally pushed by some, and no these ugly females in modern gaming aren't more realistic or representative of the average female, most females in moden western games are just as unrealistic as the average femme fatale it's not just some "realistic" jane doe being represented but fringe personalities with odd features no matter the context of the game (transexuals, mixed race tokens, butch lesbians, obese n alternative pixie women, "badass" bossy screetchy girls) these kind of people do exist irl but come on, those people are not the overall majority yet they are being pushed everywhere, it's especially noticeable when said characters replace a previous character and even worse when said characters are retconned to look and, most probably, act nothing like its prior self.
This is for male characters too (modern kratos, well, most males in sony ''games''), although iterestingly, it is attractive female characters whom are most affected.

I mean sure, I don't like reboot laura for a host of reasons, but fucking jill? Like I'm sorry, what does fat anime tiddies add to a zombie survivor game? When I mean by context, I'm talking about the promise a work gives me.
