Primarily because they're racist, far more than any other race, certainly than whites. Asians are also less common than whites and even blacks, which probably evokes a stronger racist reaction when seeing one, as if they "don't belong" or are out of place, mor than seeing a Mexican or something.
Worth noting, they're both minorities and Asians are better liked because of their superior behaviors and cultures, plus they're actually successful even more than whites, so jealousy and a rightly felt inferiority complex could be at play.
