How do people think the pyramids get built? People coming together for a higher cause? Bullshit it was those fucking alien cats! They used the toxoplasmosis to enslave the Egyptians into building them. Why you might ask, they're cat back scratchers, those buried Pharoahs and treasures are just there chew toys. We're just lucky the parasites have lost a bit of there effectiveness over time but soon the ship will drop off a new enhanced batch of cats and we'll all be doomed! Dooooooomed!!

4. Healing Mechanism​

  • Research suggests that purring may have physical health benefits. The vibrations occur at a frequency (25–150 Hz) that is associated with healing and bone growth in studies. This could explain why cats purr when recovering from injuries or illnesses.

5. Solicitation or Request​

  • Cats may purr to signal they want something, such as food or attention. "Solicitation purring" often has a higher frequency or more urgent tone, prompting humans to respond.

How Cats Purr​

  • Purring is caused by the rapid contraction and relaxation of the laryngeal (voice box) muscles, combined with movement of the diaphragm, as the cat breathes in and out.
In short, purring serves as a multifunctional behavior in cats, ranging from communication and pleasure to survival and healing. It's a unique and fascinating aspect of feline behavior!

Depends on the cat. One cat I owned would purr when you'd pet him, and if you pet him more than a few seconds he'd purr really loud and start biting you. He'd also purr really loud when he wanted to get through a closed door, and if you tried to pet him instead of opening the door he'd bite and claw you all while purring.

So in some cats it's clearly a sign of evil.
