This is going to be relatively long as I just found this thread and it is hard to cram all of my opinions into one post.

I am an American, so I do not know how things are in other countries, but I consider myself a progressive leftist. While the SJWs and "wokeness" have left a bad taste in many people's mouths, in terms of how people perceive the "left" in my country, I think that the biggest threat to individual freedom and liberty is wealth inequality and how much power private corporations have in regards to control over the political system as well as the rise of corporate censorship.

As many have pointed out, when people refer to the political left, that can mean being socially liberal but economically conservative, or socially conservative but economically liberal or both. There is a lot of confusion about what being on the political left actually means, especially in my country. This is because while the Republican party is generally conservative in both the social and economic sense, the Democratic party is largely center-right when it comes to economic issues and foreign policy and masquerades as a left-leaning party by cloaking itself in woke language and intent while doing little to nothing to help people who are poor and reducing the income gap. They also get just as much money for their electoral campaigns as the Republicans do, albeit from different industries. The modern Democratic party is not the party of FDR anymore as it has been taken over by Third Way Democrats since the late-1980's and has since been "liberal" in the neoliberal sense. Overall, while I think the political left has largely won and has dominated American social and cultural narratives since the 1960's, the political right has largely won when it comes to things like economic issues, foreign policy, law enforcement, labor issues, etc.

Regardless of which of the two parties are in charge, we have let corporations basically erode labor rights, wasted huge amounts of money and lives on pointless military adventures, ignored the fourth amendment because of warrantless surveillance from both public and private institutions, increased income inequality, gave massive tax breaks to the wealthy and allowed corporate tax havens overseas, let healthcare to be legalized corporate fraud, and did nothing while housing costs skyrocketed. I consider myself a leftist because I disagree with all of the above, and while I hate how SJWs and the woke have jumped on the censorship bandwagon, I am all for civil rights and free speech. However, unlike SJWs, I do not think that anybody should be bullied, harassed, or canceled for their personal opinions no matter how offensive I might find them to be as long as nobody is directly threatened with physical harm or violence.

Finally, here are some older videos that explain the dichotomy between SJWs and true leftists. It is somewhat confusing because while "left" and "liberal" are used interchangeably by many people in my country, they have come to mean different things for reasons I talked about.

P.S. I also despise the massive hateboner that the political left and the modern environmentalist movement in general seems to have for nuclear energy when that is probably one of the few practical, clean, and safe options we have for electricity generation.

Sure, I understand that ideological positions were inserted into Steven Universe by Rebecca Sugar. Criticizing that is all fair, but I don't understand why someone who claims to be anti-censorship would want to criminalize a cartoon for being "propaganda" or poorly written. You mention that you would criminalize cartoons that had right-wing values as well or cartoons that portrayed any ideological values. Would you ban The Last Airbender for promoting the ideology of Pacifism to children? What about Hayao Miyazaki's films like Howl's Moving Castle, due to the deliberate insertion of anti-Iraq war themes?

That wouldn't be the craziest thing I've seen advocated for by people in this thread, but it's not what I would expect from someone who touts themselves as anti-censorship. What is the audience age range that you believe stories should be allowed to have political themes in them?
At no point was I saying or trying to say that I would criminalize a kid's cartoon for carrying political themes. What I am trying to say is that we should be cautious about what we put in front of children. Did I do a poor job of it? Probably. I'm not good at articulating my opinions on this shit. My concern is that people could use cartoons to teach children awful things. Things like "it's okay to hate people for their race", "beating your wife is okay", and "the Jews faked the holocaust". Shit like that. Would banning things make them go away? No, because they will look harder. The only things I would really explicitly ban is content that profits off of the suffering of actual children (e.g. child porn).

I actually like the themes of Pacifism and anti-war because we should teach children to not seek out conflict and to keep violent conflict to a bar minimum. You don't have to be either a right-wing or left-wing ideologue to agree with either sentiment.

I guess my compromise would be this: shows like Steven Universe should exist and should be accessible to others. But they shouldn't be marketed towards young children. If I were a parent (God help us all), I would probably feel a lot more comfortable showing this to my children at around high-school age (specifically 15 or 16) than what is it's "intended" audience because hopefully by then they'll have the life experience to start thinking for themselves and hopefully I had done a good enough job teaching them right and wrong.

I dunno bros, I told you this shit would get autistic. And if the ratings are any indication, I am correct.

I think Nick Fuentes should be president because nothing screams "leader of men" like a guy who spends all his time whining on the internet and getting involved in stupid drama with retards.

I am fine with eurofag style social democratic base, but have libertarian views.
Religion is retarded, but my libertarian views say retardation is ok in society when it does not cause harm to others.

I don't like much about the way "christian values and traditions" have become like thing to defend since... 2015 I think it jumped up as a thing around then. Before that "enlightenment values" were the shit. I am more into those. Most bizarre thing is when these are used as synonyms or something.

while I would consider myself a conservative Christian, I also believe in people's freedom to do what they want as long as it isn't harming anybody. I will still call out retarded beliefs when I see them and am in general open to debate. At the core of everything I just want the government to go play in traffic and leave us alone.

Bull moose, social democratic on economics but against censorship, unregulated immigration and so on. Not much of a fan of the Republican party at all but I don't blame people for voting for them given the Democratic party is so hostile to white working class Americans who make up so much of the population.

More than anything else I think politicians should be public servants and be accountable to their constituents. Fuentes and AF are an utter joke because they care about beefing on the internet with weirdo nobodies and would be completely incapable of governing even a small town.

Basically the same as anyone in Russia in the early 1900’s. Orthodox Christian who despises progressivism in all forms and has a serious distrust of Jews. Despite that, I can get along with anyone on an individual level. Take my religion seriously, unlike Nick. I don’t have a proscription for economic policy, but have an instinctive hatred whenever someone starts saying stuff that’s a little too close to communist gobbledegook. I don’t cheer on capitalism, but just draw a line at commie shit.
